Hi fellow brokensjnf8ewhce8.com.

I have been playing fm since the good old CM days and find my self a pretty stable manager, knowing all the aspects of the managing.

However I have one team which I simply can't tame, Leeds Utd. Everything I try just fails.

So who's up for the challenge. Leeds utd in championship. With a transfer budget of only 200k in first season.

Who can crack the nut and give me a good tactic that ensures promotion in first season?

i won the treble with swansea in the first season.Fm this year is tactically very simple.
Its the team talks where the main game lies this year,**** tactics will win u games with good team talks and good tactics will lose u games with poor team talks.
so yea,that should be pretty easy.

starting a save now.If you can just get quick players.tactic should work.and lots of quickies available on loa.can i see screenshots of who you played,who you bought etc?

I have started a save with Leeds United and initially, this have been the settings I have used.


Core settings

This is not going to be easy. Leeds have a media prediction of 3rd and the board wants us to get promoted but the team are not really up for it. I would say that there are at leat 10 teams that are much better then us when taking into account defensive skills, attacking skill, creativity and most importantly squad depth. SO, I have setted for a counter attack approach. The teams just not good enough to break down deep sitting ooponents of equal quality. If getting promoted, an almost brand new teams is needed though

Formation: Wide 4231
Strategy etc: Balanced - Counter.... All settings on default but Press that is set to Press more

Players:

Fullbacks: Automatic
Dcs: Defend

MC 1 - DPL on defend
MC2 - CM support

AM: ATM on support
Wingers: Inside forward on support and switch to Winger attack when facing really defensive team and using Overlaps
FC: Poacher




Shouts

Initially, I either play a quick counter game or try to play with more width, keeping possession.

Quick and Agressive:

Push up
Play Narrow

...This makes or more compact

get ball forward
pass into space
Eploit flanks
... makes us play more direct and with more t-balls, using more of the width and letting our wide players be more attakcing whilst the central hold on to the ball

Hassle
...Agression

Wider and more patient

Play out of defence
Pass to feet
Retain possession
...lets us play more narrow( neutralised later), slower and keeping a much shorter passing game and reduces t-balls

...lets us play down the flanks

As you can see Snodgrass carries the team almost alone.

Perhaps, my strikers seems to not like to score again and I lost Keogh who returned to Wolves

Concerning the approach, I use the Quick and Agressive shouts at start, and your Wider and more patient when I'm leading by 2 goals or at the end of the match. Am I doing right ?

Sorry deleted my save so no screenshots. Had a few free players Sidibe, Ndjitap (DMs) and basically keeper the players that started in team from beginning. Used patch 12.2.2
