Hey everyone, I'm waiting it out for the full release and not bothering with the demo, so was wondering if some of you could shed some light on a few questions I have.

1. How is the transfer market? FM2010 really frustrated me with this. Teams, no matter how desperate they were for one of my players, would never offer more than double the player's value, while demanding ridiculous fees (up to 10x the value) for their players. Has this been evened out and, also, from what I've read it seems as if the fees people are paying for players is far less extreme. How has everyone else found it?

2. Will teams accept cash plus a player this time around? In FM10 I don't think I ever had a cash plus player bid accepted, but I've read a few posts where people claim to have done this.

3. In FM10, I found that high-rep players such as Ronaldo and Messi would never sign for my team, regardless of my reputation, regardless of how much money I offered them. So my question is, is it easier to attract players to sign for your team?

Thanks in advance.

1. This is still fairly poor. For example, despite Frey being Squad Rotation, and valued at around £5m, it took me almost triple his value to eventually lure him away from Fiorentina. I feel the main problem with the transfer market, though, is that when you Transfer List a player, and offer him to all clubs, you get lots different offers back, with the majority being loans. I just can't sell my players - it is so so difficult to raise funds.

2. Yes. Yes they will. With United, I got Mexes in exchange for Park Ji-Sung + £750k, so it is certainly do-able. Haven't tried it apart from that though, but I assume if I can do it so easily, it can be done fairly easily.

3. Can't answer this one unfortunately as I haven't played as Man City yet. :P

1. Yes this is sorted now, There is also a system that if clubs know that you have a bit of dosh they will fleece some cash of you e.g as Tottenham I bough Van der Wiel for 5 mil but as Man U it took me 12mil which is quite good. Also players do not always have long term contracts which means you can't sell them. Also Eds99 is talking rubbish sorry I bought Frey for 8.5mil. About you selling it depends e.g I offered Nani but Sunderland wanted him but they could only offer a loan bid but Barca said I'll give you 11mil, fair enough, also if your taking the **** say asking 30mil for Darron Gibson forget about it, but teams try to get the best deal for themselves why would they not, So basically you can sell and to buy someone you don't have to offer 10x more than thier value sometimes less, e.g Coentrao was worth 3.2 mil but Benfica didn't need him so I got him for 2.6mil.
2. It depends they will accept if it is a player they are interested in, but if your trying to do a p/ex for Messi forget about it.
3. It depends as now there are agents some do not want to hold talks with your club, players who have just signed a new contract wont want to leave. Also Messi won't come to scunthorpe even with the help of FMRTE's transfer budgets. Also if players think of themselves higher than thier club they will say no, and if they are in talks with a better club they will say no e.g Klose was in talks with Barca and even when they accepted my bid he said No, he would of rather played at Barca than Napoli, who would want to do that?:D

Seriously, think about what you post before you post it. You could well have just explained why he was more expensive for me. So do not accuse me of talking rubbish, kay?

And no, the transfer market is definately definately not sorted.

Well I think it is and I bout frey for 8.5mil and I was Man Utd, it must of bugged or something for you or he may of signed a new contract.

I feel as though the Transfer Market is alot better than last year and also Ed if you want to sell your players but it always comes up with loans simpily put your players on transfer status ' unavailable for loan ' :)

But then you get no transfer offers :/

I often do and it works for me the only problem is, is when they give you the money in something stupid like 48 months. I mean why not just give it us now.

All sound good. I was just wondering, have any of you ever had a team like Madrid or Citeh put in a ridiculous bid for someone? A bid more than double the player's value?

Well sometimes it doesn't work to just double e.g for Kaka to even be considered you need at least triple and thats how it would work in real life and to Eds99 I'm entitled to have my own opinion

That's what I'm asking. If other teams think I should pay at least triple for their players, surely they're smart enough to realise that they have to pay that for my star players. My question was, has this been evened out?

From what I understand...we really won't have a good handle on some of these items until full version is released with larger database and time frame to account for lower budgets due to many teams spending most of their cash early due to tough economic times figured into FM 2011.

But who knows really... :)

Have to agree with Eds here, haven't sold even 1 player on 2 saves, seems harder to sell players on FM11 than on FM10. Just my experience though, hopefully proven wrong.

thast because you are trying to sell players in the summer window, after the clubs have already spent.and in a climate where there isnt much money about. plus you are never going to get good value for a player you are offering out

I've been offering players at half their value and still getting no offers. :/

the first season is never a good time to sell, demo or full game. fm10 it was way to easy to sell players for inflated values
