Today the whole of the Newcastle and Sunderland area was shocked to see Steve Bruce's Depature. The Newcastle fan himself said the job was to hard to handle being a Magpie. Sunderland's search for a manager started right away with a shortlist of. Alan Curbishly, Jake Thomas, Paul Ince and Dave Jones who where the booker makers faviourites. However Niall Quinn opted for a young manager in Jake Thomas.

Jake Thomas later said in his first press confernce " He can't wait to get started on his new Sunderland team"

Jake Thomas has already been busy in Sacking Assistant manager Eric Black and Goal keeping coach Nigel Spink. He has signed Frank Lampard ( Son of the Chelsea star ) as his new Assistant and Ray Clemence has his new Goal keeping coach.

I wouldn't say Newcastle were saddened to see Bruce depart from Sunderland Football Club :P

Good luck anyway.
