Good day to you all, here is a little guide I made the other day regarding teamtalks, here are a few pointers that could help with regards to getting the best out of your players :)

1) player rating below 6

Response:
Dissappointed, angry, have faith (depends how cross you get) I feel that angry works with senior players and Have faith works with younger players..

2) player rating below 6.5

Response:
Have faith, prove a point, even dissapointed..
prove a point works the best for me with both senior and younger players...

3) player rating 7 (just above, just below)

Response:
Pleased, dont expect performance to drop

4) player rating above 7.5

Response:
pleased, delighted, have faith, Teamtalk, dont expect performance to drop...
have faith works well when this player is a youngster

I like to never say pleased as I feel sometimes the team takes their foot off the pedal and sometimes let the other team back into the game.

I used to feel the same way, that is why you must say that you dont expect their performance to drop :)

you can say pleased to the players only playing over 8 if you like...

if leading well at h/t i say "dont let your performance drop" as a general teamtalk with the odd "have faith" for individuals, if used all the time it doen't work as well so i chuck the odd "pleased" in, esp in less important games

If I am winning 1-0 it'll be 'Dont let your performance drop'
If we're winning by 2 or more then i'll say that I am pleased.
If 0-0 but creating chances I say we only need one more goal.
If 0-0 but they're all over us I encourage the team.
If losing 1-0 I encourage the team.
If losing by 2 I am disappointed.
If losing by 3 or more I am angry.

I thought the same as you but I've found that if you tell your strikers and attackers that you're pleased they can get a morale boost.

I noticed whenever I'm leading in the 1st half and I tell them 'don't let ur form drop' but some player always get the response 'angered, seems confused' .I think it depends on their personality too.

Btw any ideas about second leg/extra time teamtalk? :)

This can be tricky esp when leading comfortably after the first leg. seen so many euro-minnows get back into a game when i've "warned against complacency"

"i expect a win" and a bit of rotation usually works for me

Not that I am normally 3 or more goals down at half time!! :D
I should hope so :D

Anyway I usually encourage them if I'm 1-0 up or drawing, I say I'm pleased if I'm 2 or more goals up. When I'm behind by one goal I say "we can win this" and if 2 or more goals behind I say I'm angry, which usually makes me come back one or more goals, but still lose the game :S

Good guide. I usually do the same things so i guess i am doing everything right ;)
