Hi all, I wanted to do a challenge which I could process through quickly as in 4 weeks I'm going to be a daddy for the first time!

My idea is to start a save in Classic mode as its quicker and follow these rules:

1) Start Unemployed
2) Apply for all jobs going at the start
3) I have to accept the first one that comes up no matter who it is
4) After that I HAVE to accept any job I'm offered
5) I cant resign or apply for any jobs but wait for any offers that come my way, once an offer comes in it has to be accepted no matter how well I'm doing

The leagues I have decided to load up are:

This is my manager profile, as you can see I have started with National Reputation - I selected "Professional Footballer - Regional Level" on my start screen, this is 1 level above Semi-Pro and should give me more chance of a job to start with.

So here goes, not sure where this will take me but I'll probably update once a season and if anything interesting happens

If you have any tips or advice for me then please leave a message

Day One

I have applied for all jobs available and I have immediately received 2 offers.

They are:

Hartlepool are in English League Two and for anyone that follows England will know they are currently rock bottom of that league in real life, luckily for me we start the season on June 1st!

US Colomiers are in the French Championnat National (3rd Tier) and are forecast to come 18th of 18 teams!

Its a tough choice but I am going to stick to what I know and go with Hartlepool

I have been offered a whopping 20k Transfer budget and a spare 2.7k of wages

So job accepted, I'm confident that I can at least get into the play-offs of League Two even though I know in real life how bad Hartlepool are. Don't worry Mr Stelling I'll do you proud!

My next update will be at the end of the season

End of Season 2014-15 - Hartlepool United

What a season, it has been! At one point I was on the brink of the boot when I was languishing in 19th place after around 21 games. But we turned it around and managed to finish in 3rd place and earn an automatic promotion spot into League One. Here is how the table ended

As you can see from the screenshot below we had an amazing end to the season, 10 wins in a row rocketing us up the league

Our transfer business was pretty decent, all frees or loans. A couple of the frees didn't really work out and could be classed as panic buys and some were got rid of during the season mainly because they spent most of it moaning they weren't playing (good old FM15 player interaction!)

So who were our stand out players?

Olivier Thomert was the League Two player of the year, he was a free transfer at the start of the season

Tom Eaves ended with the League Two Golden Boot, a fantastic loan signing from Bolton and one player I'll definitely try and get back next season

Six of our team ended in the League Two team of the year

Overall I had a pretty decent settled XI for the whole season, we stuck mainly to a 4123/41221 formation and it worked wonders, here is what I classed as my best XI for the season with the tactic I used

So what happened in the cup I hear you ask? A lot is the answer! Well the FA and Capital One Cups weren't very exciting but somehow we managed to win the Johnstone Paint Trophy beating Newport County in the final in Extra Time

We were knocked out in the 3rd Round of the FA Cup away to Spurs

And to Bolton in the 2nd Round of the Capital One Cup

Some big news at the end of the season when we got taken over my of all men Graham Taylor!!

So a fantastic first season, lets hope we can survive in League One with the limited resources we have and hopefully push on a bit further than that. But who knows, if a job offer comes I HAVE to take it!!!

Thanks for reading, if you have any tips/advice for me to make my updates better then let me know
