Rangers appoint a surprise manager!!!

Rangers today have shocked their fans and the media by appointing a rookie manager in Christopher Bremner.

The Rangers board were apparently impressed with Bremners vision for the club and his drive to take them forward. Dave King told Sky Sports News 'This is a big gamble for the club but we feel a new perspective is needed to take this club forward. Bremner will take this team from strength to strength and we will very shortly be back at the top of Scottish football. Sometimes big decisions need to be made for the good of the club and now we have a young manager who is a massive Rangers fan and will give his loyalty and 100% to the Club. I urge all Rangers fans to get behind the team and continue to be the best support in the world and drive us on back to the top.'

In the press conference Bremner said 'This is a massive job to undertake and I am delighted to be chosen to lead Rangers to glory. I will get this team playing football to dominate this league again and bring us back into Europe.'

When asked about his goals for the season Bremner said 'My main goals are to get some silverware back in the trophy cabinet. I would like to at least win 1 trophy and challenge for the league. It will be a massive undertaking to challenge the talented Celtic side but we all start on a level playing field and a good run of form can put us in a good position to challenge again. Lastly Europe will be a hard run but I have confidence we can at least make the group stages and from there who knows. You've got to be in it to win it.'

Talking about the transfer market Bremner said he had some targets in mind and will look to get the right deals to freshen up the side.

It is a bold move by Rangers and we will have to wait and see if the gamble will work.

View attachment 75976

Rangers manager hasn't wasted any time in bringing is his first new face to the club by announcing the signing of Aalborgs Peruvian winger Edison Flores in a deal believed to be £750K.

Bremner said he was delighted to get such a good player for a bargain price. Edison Flores, nicknamed Big Ears in his native Peru comes in to the Rangers side with international experince having been capped by Peru 21 times and scoring 6 goals. When asked about joining Rangers Flores said 'Rangers is a massive club and I look forward to helping them back to the top. I also hope to play european football and the chance to do that is a big reason I joined this club.'

Bremner said 'Flores is only 23 years old so he will still improve and we got a player approaching his peak playing years for an amazing price. Flores will add skill and goals from the wing and give us an extra attacking threat.'

Bangor City 1-6 Rangers
Lee Llewellyn (2) Dorrans (9)
Flores (19,26, Pen 39)
Pena (58)

Rangers got off to a shock start as Llewellyn tapped in an early goal for Bangor. They started with attacking intent but on 9 minutes Dorrans levelled the game with a well placed shot from the edge of the area. After the game was level it was all Rangers with Flores scoring a debut hat trick, 1 goal tapped in at the back post from a Candeias cross, a 2nd from cutting inside and shooting across goal and a 3rd from a penalty after he was fouled inside the box. In the 2nd half Rangers continued to dominate and Pena added to the goal tally with a well placed shot insode the box. Finally Rangers finished the game with Alves adding a header from a Candeias corner to put Rangers virtually into the 2nd round.

Europa League Qualifying 1st Round - Leg 2

Rangers 6-0 Bangor City
Morelos (8,24)

Rangers continued their dominance in the 2nd leg with a 6-0 victory. Bremner made changes to the team that won in Wales and they continued the scoring to give Rangers a 12-1 aggregate victory over Bangor City and passage into the 2nd Round.

Europa League Qualifying 2nd Round - Leg 1

SK Sturm Graz 2-2 Rangers
Maritsch (14) Herrera (21)
Walzl (60) Candeias (67)
Rangers fought out a 2-2 draw with Sturm Graz. SK had the better of the opportunities but Rangers showed a ruthless counter attack that could of led to an away victory but a draw and 2 big away goals is a great result. Maritsch scored with a great strike from outside the area on the 14th minute. SK continued to attack but a quick attack and great cross from Candeias straight onto Herrera's head led to the equalizer. In the 2nd half Walzl was put through on goal and finished the 1 on 1. Candeias scored another quick counter attack sweeping home from a Flores cross.

Sky Sports believe that Rangers have aggreed a deal to take Jai Quitongo from Greenock Morton. The 19 year old is a promising striker and will be a player to build around in the future.

Unfortunately Quitongo has surprised the Rangers manager by turning down any deal at Rangers as he has just signed a deal at Morton and wants to improve with 1st team football there.

Bremner stated he was dissapoionted but won't give up on Quitongo and will be watching him.

Europa League Qualifying 2nd Round - Leg 2

Rangers 5-2 SK Sturm Graz AET
Morelos (23) Taurer (41)
Jack (61) Huspek (56)
Flores (110)
Luan OG (114)
Holt (115)
In a reverse of the 1st leg it was SK that had the ruthless counter attack. Morelos put rangers in front finishing off a flowing attack and knicking in at the front post to put a Candeias cross in. Taurer finished a fast counter attack and followed by Huspek being put through on goal to put SK in front. Jack scored a great strike from outside the box to restore parity in the tie. The game went to extra time and was a tight tie. Flores scored a fantastic strike from the left corner of the box to give Rangers the advantage. After Rangers took the lead the tiredness set in with SK and Rangers started to find space on the flanks and a Candeias cross was put into his own goal by Luan. Holt finished the tie a minute later stealing the ball and sliding it in to tha goal.

Rangers have been rewarded with a tough tie against Panathinaikos in the Europa League 3rd round with the 1st leg taking place at Ibrox.

Europa League Qualifying 3rd Round - Leg 1
Rangers 1-0 Panathinaikos
Herrera (76)
A tight game at Ibrox that was controlled mostly by Rangers. Panathinaikos didn't show much attacking intent and looked to be frustrating Rangers when finally Herrera smashed a header in from a great cross. It could of been more but Rangers were satisfied with the win and clean sheet.

Europa League Qualifying 3rd Round - Leg 2
Panathinaikos 2-3 Rangers
Chavez (7) Herrera (46)
Lod (45+1) Flores (85)
Pena (89)
A fantastic result for Rangers takes them into the Playoff round. Chavez got Panathinaikos off to a great start by leveling the tie after only 7 minutes. Panathinaikos continued to give Rangers trouble but the defence was standing up to the attack. Lod put Panathinaikos in front in the tie just before half time to make the half time talk much harder. In the 2nd half however a different side emerged from the tunnel. Herrera got the 2nd half off to a great start scoring in the 1st minute with a big header to give Rangers the away goal lead. The game was back and forth before Flores snuck in at the back post to tap in a cross to put the game firmly in Rangers hand. In the 89th minute Pena swept in a counter attack on the edge of the box to give Rangers an amazing victory away in Greece and put the 2 games from the group stages.

After a great result against Panthinaikos Rangers have been drawn against Belgian side AA Gent in the play offs for the group stage.

June/July Round up
A great start to my career at Rangers has seen us put in some great performances in europe to take us to the playoffs for the europa league. Flores has been outstanding in his start scoring goals and setting up goals. Herrera has been looking good also and has been really good with his head especially. Candeias is another player that has impressed on the right. His crossing has been causing trouble in the box and creating a lot of chances.

All in all almost the perfect start going into the start of the season and hopefully we can build upon the start to take Rangers into the Europa League group stages and bring in the much needed funds. On top of the signings Dalcio and Nemane have terminated their loans and Hodson has joined Ross County on loan, Barjonas joined Dunfermline, Beerman joined Raith and Thompson joined Bristol Rovers all on loan to hopefully get some good playing time and experience.

As a Rangers fan I will defo be reading this and hoping you do well! Would recommend reviewing your layout before confirming as it is a tad all over the place plus some images haven't worked out. Good luck with qualifying and I'll be reading.

Hopefully the changes are better now. Now to continue with the save.

Motherwell 0-1 Rangers
Morelos (26)
Rangers made a winning start to their league campaign with a hard fought win over Motherwell. Morelos scoring the only goal from a Candeias cross tapping in from the middle of the box.

Betfred Cup 2nd Round
Rangers 2-0 Hibernian
Herrera (2)
Windass (87)
A good victory over Hibs today for Rangers saw Herrera get rangers off to the ideal start smashing in a close range header after only 2 minutes. Windass made the tie certain with a close finish in the 87th minute. The game was tight up to that point with Hibs getting a couple chances on the break but a much changed Rangers dominated the match and should of won by more.

View attachment 75794
Rangers 4-0 Hibernian
Flores (11)
Windass (Pen 23)
Morelos (33)
Holt (88)
Rangers going back to their first team dominated the game from start to finish with a 4-0 victory. Goals from Flores ghosting in at the back post and a penalty by Windass put Rangers in control. Rangers didn't stop their assault and Morelos tapping in made it 3-0 before half time. The 2nd half was a tame affair with both teams playing out the 45 minutes seeing a Rangers victory that was never in doubt. To put the cherry on the cake Holt popped up with a well taken goal on 88 minutes to finish the tie. Although a great performance by Rangers new signing Flores picked up a twisted knee injury and will be out for the next 3-4 weeks, missing some key games. Their was some extra positives after Celtic dropped points with a 0-0 draw away at Partick Thistle to move Rangers top of the league.

Europa League Playoff - 1st Leg

Rangers 2-0 AA Gent
Windass (47 Pen)
Morelos (90+2)
Rangers got the result their play deserved with a fantastic display against AA Gent. They dominated the tie and it showed in the stats with Rangers getting 32 shots to Gents 2. However the first half passed and it looked like Gent were frustrating the gers after some last ditch tackling and heroics from their goalkeeper. The 2nd half started the same as before and Rangers finally made the breakthrough after Candeias was fouled in the box and Windass converted the penalty. It looked like Rangers would have to settle for just a 1-0 until Morelos got let through one on one with the goalkeeper and clinically finishing past the goalkeeper to give Rangers a great victory to take into the 2nd leg in Belgium.

View attachment 75794
Rangers 5-0 Hearts
Morelos (20)
Windass (47)
Herrera (66, 72)
Hardie (84)
Rangers had a potentially tricky tie against Hearts following their midweek triumph with Gent. Rangers showed no sign of tiredness following on from their previous 2 games. The controlled the tie and kept the ball for the whole game and didn't give Hearts a chance. Morelos and Windass getting the scoring off to a great start with finishes from inside the box and Herrera scored 2 well placed headers. Hardie finished the scoring with a beautiful 25 yard strike to finish off a fantastic performance. Hardie however finished the game with an injury and will be out for 6-7 weeks and another blow to the Rangers team. On top of that Krancjar and Tavernier have picked up small injuries that will see them be out for up to 2 weeks each.

View attachment 75970
Europa League Playoff - Leg 2
AA Gent 2-1 Rangers
Simon (8) Miller (67)
Milicevic (56)
The big game for Rangers for a Europa League slot was a tricky affair. Simon got them off to a great start scoring a well placed drive into the bottom corner in the 8th minute. Gent pressed most the half but Rangers held off until half time. The 2nd half started much the same with Gent pressing and their pressure paid off in the 56th minute with Milicevic scoring from a corner to level the tie. There wasn't much from Rangers until veteran Kenny Miller popped up in the box to slide home from a bit of chaos in the box. Miller with his goal becomes the Europa Leagues oldest goalscorer and gives Rangers the vital away goal. Gent pressed to get themselves back into the tie but Rangers held on to qualify them for the group stages of the Europa League.

Europa League Group draw

Todays draw has seen Rangers be drawn in a group with Galatasaray, PAOK and Dinamo. The draw could of been much harder for Rangers but Galatasaray will create hard opposition and they will need to be at their best to repeat their heroics in Greece against similar side Panathinaikos. Rounding out the draw will be a difficult trip to Croatia to play Dinamo. When asked about the group Bremner said 'There is some hard away days in there but we are confident we can get out of this group. The Ibrox crowd will make it difficult for these teams in Glasgow and if we can put in the performance away from home we can possibly win this group. We are in the competition and we will see how far we can make it into the competition.'

Ross County 3-3 Rangers
Curran (79, 90+3) Herrera (2, 22, 47)
Gardyne (87)
The final game before the international break saw Rangers blow a 3 goal lead as tiredness set in after their midweek game. Herrera had put Rangers in a commanding position with a hat-trick of accurate headers inside the box but Curran got in behind the Rangers defence on the 79 minute mark and clinically finished past the goal keeper. That should of been a warning to Rangers but they didn't learn as Gardyne also got in behind to give Ross County a chance. In injury time Ross county stole the ball and got in behind Rangers to complete an incredible comeback and get an unlikely point against Rangers.

Transfer Update
With the transfer market now closed Rangers were only able to sign Edison Flores but didn't dip into the bank much more. Quitongo decided to stay with Morton but I will be monitoring his progress with the possibility of signing him in January or for next season. Another player I am monitoring is Peruvian Sergio Pena who plays for Granada. The youngster is only 21 years old and has passing 15 and long shots 16 and I see him as a long term replacement for Kranjcar and will be cheap at around 1.50-2 Million.
Some promising youngsters have left on loan Aiden Wilson and Jordan Thompson leaving to play in Ayr to get some much needed experience.
I signed a new scout with knowledge in South America to try and find the gems down there.

Flores has got off to a great start and his value is shooting up. Not bad for 750k
View attachment 75950
My youngsters that I'm excited about are:
Ross Mccrorie with some game time will improve to be a good defender for us.
View attachment 75948
Aiden Wilson is still only 18 but has some good stats to build on. If he improves his physical attributes can be a big player for us.
View attachment 75947
My big excitement is in the 16 year old striker Dapo Mebude. The 16 year old Nigerian has really good stats especially for his age. I can't wait to see what comes of him in the future.

August Review

Another great month for Rangers shows we are going forward. Qualifying for the Europa League was not easy but some fantastic performances has put us into the group stages and in a group that we can qualify from. The League has got off to a good start with big wins over Hibs and Hearts. The dropped points against Ross County was disappointing but we are still top of the league joint with Celtic. Next months Old Firm game will be the big test to see how far we have come. We are still in the Betfred Cup and we can hopefully bring through some of our promising youngsters in those games. The squad is compact and maybe too many players have gone on loan and we are a bit short in the full back slot but the squad is looking good and we will see where we are in January.

Good couple of results there mate and yeah the layout is getting there! Only problem is it's the Ladbrokes Premiership and not Ladbrokes League 1 that is the top league in Scotland haha! That Edison Flores looks a great find, might have to keep a look out for him on one of my saves. That EL draw isn't too bad so hopefully some good results can go your way and help you progress.

Into September and some big games including the Europa League games and first Old Firm Derby.

Rangers 4-1 Dinamo
Flores (19) Soudani (90+2)
Morelos (59)
Dorrans (85)
Mebude (89)
A fantastic start to the Europa League campaign at a rocking Ibrox. Flores ghosting in at the back post like hes done so often to tap in a Candieas cross. Candeias popped up again on the right to deliver a great cross for Morelos to convert from close. The game slowed down before Candeias again with a hattrick of assists for Dorrans to slide in from the edge of the area. With the game likely won Rangers brought on 16 year old Mebude. Flores made a great run down the left and crossing for 16 year old Mebude to score from around the penalty spot and become the Europa Leagues youngest goal scorer. Soudani got a consolation goal in injury time as the Rangers defence switched off.

Partick Thistle 1-2 Rangers
Doolan (54) Holt (2, 9)
Rangers got off to a good start with 2 goals converted by Jason Holt from a Candeias cross and John ball over the top. The game looked flat but in the 2nd half Doolan got in behind the defence and convert to set up a nervy 2nd half but Rangers were able to see the game out for the 3 points.

Dunfermline 3-4 Rangers
Cardle (37) Rossiter (36)
Ryan (45+3, 90+3) Mebude (41, 60)
Miller (62 Pen)
Rangers progressed to the Betfred Cup semi final with a win over Dunfermline. Rangers made plenty changes to the squad from the weekends tie with Mebude, Miller, Windass, Mccrorie and Alnwick all coming into the starting 11. Rossiter gave Rangers the lead with a great shot from outside the box but Dunfermline levelled the game straight away from Cardle low shot inside the box. Mebude scored a poachers goal before Ryan equalized just before the half time whistle in an exciting 1st half. Mebude scored another poachers goal to give Rangers the lead again and show why the Rangers staff are excited by this youngster. Miller then converted a penalty after he was brought down in the box to give Rangers a 2 goal lead and almost put them into the semis. Ryan was able to get one back in injury time but it proved too late for Dunfermline and it was Rangers who progressed to the Semi Finals at Hampden.

Rangers 4-3 Celtic
Dorrans (45+2) Sinclair (5 Pen, 40)
Alves (66) Griffiths (90)
Flores (89)
Jack (90+3)
One of the best Old Firm derbies in the long history of these sides with a crazy finish. Sinclair got Celtic off to a great start by converting a penalty after 5 minutes. Sinclair looked like it was going to be a miserable afternoon after scoring after cutting in from the right and shooting across the goalkeeper. The first half could of been much worse after it was all Celtic in the first half with Rangers not mustering a shot on goal until injury time but that shot gave Rangers some hope. Dorrans with the shot on the edge of the area for Rangers to go in at halftime with 1 goal in it. Alves rectored parity on 66 minutes with a towering header from a Candeias corner. Rangers started to look the better side and the team more likely to score a winner and on 89 minutes it looked like Flores had become the Rangers hero of the day by scoring after being unmarked at the back post and tapping in after Celtic couldn't clear. However the ecstasy was short lived as Rangers switched off allowing Griffiths in behind the defence straight from kick off and he was clinical in sliding the ball past the keeper. The game was not finished however and in injury time a ball down the left for Flores saw Gordon come out to clear and Flores getting a touch on the ball to deflect the ball to Jack about 30 yards out and Jack hitting it over the defence and into an open net to send Ibrox crazy and give Rangers a big big victory over their Rivals and end a crazy end to a game.

View attachment 75730
PAOK 1-1 Rangers
Veirinha (47) Pena (43)
Rangers got a good draw away from home against PAOK. Pena gave Rangers the lead before halftime. Veirinha equalized at the start of the second half. Both teams pushed for a winner but neither could find it and it finished level which is a good result to give Rangers a chance to get out of the group.

September Review
Another good month for Rangers the Europa League got off to a good start with a big opening victory against Dinamo and an away draw against PAOK but now we have a tough double header coming up against Galatasaray. We are still in the Betfred Cup and with Celtic being put out by Dundee it gives us a great chance to get that piece of silverware that I am aiming for. In the League we got 3 wins out of 3 including an insane victory over Celtic has put us in the lead in the League, it will be hard to stay there against this Celtic team but we are on great form at the moment.

Galatasaray 1-2 Rangers
Gomis (8) Pena (72)

A historic away win against favourites Galatasaray for Rangers. Gomis gave Galatasaray the lead inside 10 minutes and it looked like they would add to that but Foderingham saved well from Inans penalty which gave Rangers the lift needed to get back in the game. The game was back and forth with Rangers getting some good chances but struggling to find the net. Pena popped up however in the 72nd minute to equalize. It looked like it was heading for another away draw but a beautiful Candeias cross was headed in by Herrera to give Rangers a fantastic victory and put them in a very good position in the group.

Rangers had a big semifinal to play just 3 days after a big away win in Turkey and some changes were needed for the game with 1st starts for Atakayi and some rotation at the back. The first half was scrappy and finished 0-0 but Rangers were looking the better side. Atakayi got himself a nice goal on his first start from the edge of the box. Holt and Flores scored goals after nice passing play from inside the box to put the tie in Rangers control. Mebude scored another goal and Rossiter finished the rout with a well placed finished from the edge of the area. October Review

Another unbeaten month in all competitions has seen us make it through with ease to the cup final and a great chance at some silverware. The league we only dropped points against St Johnstone which is still a good month and will puts us 1 point clear of Celtic. In Europe we got an awesome result to beat Galatasaray and a victory in the next game can put us through to the next stage.

Candeias (2) Maicon (66)
Herrera (5, 21) Gomis (76)

A great night at Ibrox saw Rangers qualify for the next round of the Europa League with 2 games remaining. Rangers didn't waste time with Candeias getting off to a great start finishing off a one on one from a Pena throughball. Herrera then added to the Rangers lead after only 5 minutes heading in a Candeias cross. Herrera then made it 3-0 in the first half scoring a poachers goal from a candeias pass. Things got better in the second half as a 3rd assist from Candeias was finished by Flores. 2 goals brought Galatasaray back to within 2 but they were way off from the clinical Rangers attack.

Month Review
A good month, despite our first loss of the season Celtic drew 1-1 with Dundee at the end of the year to give us a 2 point lead going into January. The team are playing well and goals are coming from all over the pitch. If we can keep the good run going we can certainly challenge Celtic for the title. In Europe we finished top of our group and can now look forward to the knockout stages and a much needed financial boost to the club.

December is done and time to evaluate the Goals.
Challenge Celtic for the League. We are top of the league and performing well.
Get a trophy in the cabinet. First competition is done and we have won the Betfred cup so can now focus a bit more on the league.
Get to Europa League groups. We did this and even better by winning the group and getting to the next stage.

O'Halloran and Dodoo have returned to Rangers. St Johnstone had requested to extend O'Halloran's loan to the end of the season but Bremner has turned down the request stating O'Halloran has a role to play at Rangers this season.

Another great performance by Rangers has given them the 3 points at Parkhead and made Brendan Rodgers think hard about the title. Rangers got off to an amazing start by going 1 up inside 2 minutes with Dorrans tapping in from a driven Flores cross. The Game was end to end before Wilson flicked on a Tavernier free kick and Alves nodded in to give Rangers a 2 goal cushion. Sinclair got in behind to get one back and Celtic pushed to get back into the game but they couldn't find an equalizer and the blue half of Glasgow are the ones celebrating.

Rangers announced today the signing of young talent Jai Quitongo from Morton for a fee of 275k but they have allowed him to return to Morton until the end of the season on loan.

Scottish Cup draw has put the winner of Partick Thistle or Rangers against Motherwell

Partick Thistle 2-2 Rangers
Lawless (18) Miller (64)
Doolan (37) Mebude (89)

Rangers managed to come back in a real Jekyl and Hyde performance. Rangers were poor in the first half which saw them allow both Lawless and Doolan in to put Partick 2-0 up. Rangers were improved in the 2nd half and Miller got Rangers back into the game by heading in at the back post from an O'Halloran cross. Rangers pushed and it took to the 89th minute for them to find the equalizer though and it was 16 year old Mebude smashing in from a Miller pass. A replay in an already long season is not ideal but at least we are still in the cup.

Also leaving Rangers on loan is another young prospect, Dapo Mebude has joined Inverness Caley Thistle until the end of the season.

Rangers progressed in the cup but it took extra time in an energy sapping tie at Ibrox. Goals from Morelos in extra time was enough to progress. Rossiter was dismissed for a 2nd yellow but it was Rangers who finished victorious.

Another draw for Rangers and another replay in the cup. The games are racking up for the club and hopefully it won't come back and bite them at the end of the season. Holt scoring for Rangers and Moult with the equalizer.

A big performance at Ibrox got the Blue half of Rangers jumping. Herrera with a trio of headers from a Tavernier and 2 Flores crosses saw Rangers progress in the Europa League.

The draw for the Europa League has given Rangers a tie against Athletic Bilbao with the 1st leg being played at Ibrox.

Rangers progressed in the Scottish Cup replay but were made to pay with another 2 players being injured during the game. Flores picked up a 1st half injury that will keep him out for 4-5 weeks and Herrera also picking up an injury, fortunately his will only see him out for 8-11 days but with the hectic schedule Rangers squad is starting to become strecthed.

On a brighter note Celtic have lost 2 games in a row against Aberdeen and Dundee and now Rangers are 9 points clear in the league after 28 games.

Rangers progressed to the Scottish Cup Semi Final after a well controlled game against Dumbarton. The draw has put Rangers against Celtic in the Semi Final and in the other tie was Ross County vs Livingston/Hamilton.

Rangers were very close to another big win but narrowly miss out on the next round of the Europa League on away goals but put in a performance to be proud of.

Rangers had another training injury to put more strain on the squad with Goalkeeper Wes Foderingham being the next to join the injury list for 4-5 weeks. Rangers will be hoping Jak Alnwick can step up and keep Rangers in the Title hunt.

Rangers go into the Old firm game 11 points clear knowing that victory can almost put their name on the trophy.

A poor performance from Rangers saw their lead drop to 8 points after some poor defensive slips allowed Celtic to score 4 and close the gap to Rangers.

Another poor display by Rangers and are the heads starting to drop, is the fixture list starting to take its toll on the squad? Rangers had a lead but its now down to 5 points as they lost against Motherwell in a game where they were ineffective in the final third but Motherwell take their chance.

A good couple of months that saw us get to the Europa League 2nd knockout round and almost get through. The league was going well but has ended with 2 defeats, we will need to pick it up in the run in and get the title to Ibrox. Also we have a chance at the treble but will have to get past Celtic first. We will see how the run in goes.

Rangers get 2 vital wins after 2 losses and also coupled with Celtics 3-2 loss to Hamilton restored an 8 point lead at the top for Rangers. With the post split fixtures giving Rangers 3 home games before finishing away to Celtic and Hearts, fans of Rangers will be excited knowing that winning the 3 home games will hand them the title at Ibrox.

Partick Thistle have become a bit of a stumbling block for us and it happened again. The defeat means that if Celtic don't slip up Rangers won't be able to win the title in front of their own fans at Ibrox.

Rangers HAVE DONE IT. Rangers fans were over the moon as Rangers got over the line and won the title. It was bit nervier than probably planned but at the full time whistle it was the Rangers fans that were partying.
When asked about the title win Bremner said 'I am absolutely delighted to have overthrown Celtic. Their fans have been too vocal in the past and they may of had fun at Rangers expense but we are back now and we have risen again. The fans deserve this, they have stuck with the team through thick and thin and now they are the ones smiling. Now we have a chance at Champions League football and a very good chance to boost the clubs finances.

Rangers finished the season with a good victory away to Hearts and complete an amazing season were they performed way above expectations.

With the season finished time to review the season, look at the pros and cons and the goals I had for the season.
Lets start with the goals
Challenge Celtic for the league and close the gap
First off the league was the goal but I didn't think it would be possible in my first season or 2 but we really hit the ground running with an awesome attack and goals from all sides of the attack. Couple that with Celtics slip up and we were able to take the title from them. They lost 7 games which was a bit unexpected. Season end and we have the title and Celtics reign has been halted.

Make the group stages of the Europa League
I had the goal of reaching the group stages and we went on a great run topping the group, only dropping points away at PAOK. The knockout victory over Sevilla was an awesome achievement and was so close to going even further but we was way above expectations for this competition.

Win at least 1 trophy
Once again we did better and won a double. The league cup was a great start and really lifted the spirits and gave us the boost to go on the run we did. The league was also added to the trophy cabinet in what was a really successful season. Now for the treble.

With us reaching the 2nd knockout stage of the Europa League and Celtic making the Quarter Finals of the Europa League Scotlands standing in Europe has increased and so has our slots after next season. 2 teams will now get a Champions League spot and 3 teams will be in the Europa League.

On top of that we were the biggest risers in the European rankings shooting into the top 100.

Some of our top performers this season

Edison Flores
View attachment 75209
Flores was outstanding in his debut season scoring 24 goals and getting 21 assists in 36 starts and 5 subs appearances. A big performer and a bargain at 750k. His value is now up at 4.4 million and only starting his best years now.

Daniel Candeias
View attachment 75208
Candeias was the assist king this season. Hos crossing was so good all season and gave our strikers so many chances to score. 10 goals and an awesome 34 assists and getting the most assists in the Europa League.

Eduardo Herrera
View attachment 75207
Herrera was the top scorer getting 31 goals in 35 starts and 10 sub appearances. With the crosses Candeias and Flores were putting in his heading was deadly.

Alfredo Morelos
View attachment 75206
Morelos scored 29 goals in what was a great return from the young striker. The competition between the 2 strikers is so good and they are making the choice up front a difficult one for next season.

Finally the seasons pros and cons
Pros
Attack was awesome and there was only a couple of times we struggled but most of the time we were smashing them in and always looked dangerous.
Some good youth coming through the ranks especially Mebude who I am very excited to try and develop.
The bank account has gone in a positive direction and the overall squad value has increased
Good attacking depth with people in each position.

Cons
Defence is weak and we at times we let teams back into games
Wingback is lacking in cover and Tavernier played almost every game. We need cover to protect against fatigue and injury.

All in all a successful season and time to prepare for next season.

Goals for next season will be:
Continue to challenge for the title
Make the Champions League group stages
Win one of the cups
These goals are reachable I think and the holy grail of the Champions League is a must to continue to grow the club in stature and financially and continue to make up the lost ground to Celtic. The title would be nice again but Celtic will come back and it may be hard but we will continue to keep up the pressure. Even 2nd place now gets a Champions League qualifier spot and although the champions will still have to qualify we are closing in on getting that spot back for Scottish football.

Transfer Market
We have been given 10 million to spend and I don't want to go crazy with it. I feel we only need a few signings and hopefully we can get some more bargains like Flores that are young and will improve to make us Simply the Best again.
