Mark Tang appeared confident as he met the journalist for his first press conference at Hartlepool United

One of the main questions asked was from the Northern Echo journalist asking what Tangs approach the game would be.

Tang refused to comment to much at the current time as he has just taking charge at Victoria Park but hinting he will be looking to have a more attacking approach in his style of play.

Mark Tang learned alot about his team today and may have been a little dissapointed his team did not score more, from this display he may know what Hartlepool are missing to reach the next level but its still early days and Billingham were not particularly difficult opponents.

Sunderland V West Ham

After a great pre-season Manager Mark Tang was confident of taking something away from the Stadium Of Light.

Sunderland 2
Steed Malbranque 75
Darren Bent 79

West Ham 0

MoM - Scott Parker , The determined midfielder makes West Ham pay for selling him in the summer with a excellent preformance

A poor game from West Ham the team never looked in control and just did not look at scoring at any point of the game.

---------------------------------------------

Everton V West Ham

After a poor preformance against against Sunderland Mark Tang urged his players that he expects better from his side as they face a tought test away to Everton.

Everton 0

West Ham 0

MoM - Steven Piennar, was a constant threat to West Hams' defence with his pace and flair.

A game where Everton looked more likely taking all three points in a game where they dominated in possession, West Ham manager may be pleased to leave Goodison Park with a point after his team was 2nd best.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Carlise V West Ham League Cup 2nd Rd

Carlise 1
Jason Price 62

West Ham 2
Frederic Piquionne 25
Juan Roman Riquelme 29

--------------------------------------------------------------

West Ham V Arsenal

After only 1 point out of a possible 6 manager Mark Tang wanted to see more from his team, A tought test against Arsenal may prove to hard for the Hammers though.

West Ham 0
Anthony Annan Sent off 90+1

Arsenal 2

Robert Green o.g 62
Theo Walcott 64

MoM - Gael Clichy, West ham were on the back foot for most of the game giving the Frenchman a pass to attack creating some key passes inside the West Ham final third.

West Ham never looked like winning this one and were out classed for most of this game, and simply broke apart once Robert Green put the ball into his own net.

--------------------------------------------------------------

After 1 point afer the first 3 opening games West Ham find themselves towards the bottom of the table and improvement are needed by the Hammers or it could be another dissapointing season for the fans

As im a west ham fan i will have a look now and then to see how you are getting on but Layout could be improved aswell as detail.. Take a look at my story for some ideas :)

A chance for for Hartlepool to rub it with one of europes top teams things started off well for Hartlepool as Eccleston found the net just after 3 mins but that just seemed to wake Benfica as the found the net 4 times and took control of the match, manager Mark Tang did not seemed to worried about the result.
