Welcome to my latest football manager story
to quickly set the scene before we go ahead, i'm using this story to get myself back into the game and to try and see if i can get a good story going that i will restart in FM19 when it launches
i am going to start unemployed but unlike the journeyman stories on this site i will be starting with regional professional experience and with a national A license (i did a LLM save and don't want to try that again until i've done something new)
if anyone has any comments / feedback / criticism of the layout, style of writing etc. please let me know as like i said, this is going to be my template going forward (or equally tell me i'm useless and ill stop posting!)
thanks for sticking with me and here we go....
it came to a gloomy thursday morning and i sat down in my office chair and realised, this isn't me, i want go to the top, i want to be a FOOTBALL MANAGER
so i packed my bags and with a folder of tactics, a brand new passport and a determination to succeed in football no matter how i took up my first job.

well actually, i sat around applying for every job under the sun and didn't get past the interview stage once until late march when i got the call...
"Zak, we liked your style, we want you to join us"
it was time.
Granada FC
fresh off the departure of Tony Adams and a relegation had found themselves searching for another inexperienced English manager
and i was that man
could i get granada back to the big time?
or would this be the first failure of many
well lets find out together

I was to take over a team expected to gain promotion back to La Liga but who find themselves 12 points off the playoffs after a dismal season.
who would be my key players?

these three would be the backbone of the team, with a solid trio to build around we should have a good chance of pushing for promotion with a great end to this season, or a solid campaign next year.

We got off to an ok start with a 0-0 draw against Cadiz
we played well and moved the ball about nicely but we didnt look threatening
this team are completely lacking confidence

again the lack of confidence showed, we held the ball well but Malaga showed a cutting edge we severely lack
i needed to start doing some business and i started with a Bosman signing for next season.

Samuel gustafson is a young player with well rounded physical stats
he looks like a good ball playing midfielder who on a free, could prove to be a shrewd bit of business.
we ended march and got our first few weeks as manager out of the way
but now the real work starts
its going to be one **** of a ride, good or bad.
