143 Million Euro Millions Winner!

A British ticket holder has today claimed the massive Euromillions jackpot of 143 Million. It was the only ticket to hit the jackpot, making the winner a very rich man indeed. The winner, named as Jordan Rollinson, is a young man from the south of England.

The winning numbers were 06, 09, 17, 21 and 31, and the lucky stars were 01 and 03.

Jordan has already put some of his money to use, paying off all his families debts. He also said that he was looking to invest some of his money into a football club, which has always been a life long dream of his. As to which club, he refused to comment.

Rollinson Completed Crawley Town Takeover

Crawley Town's new owner Jordan Rollinson has successfully completed his takeover negotiation and now has full control of the club. He also vowed to take the club to new heights, believing they could go all the way to the Premiership with his backing.

In an open letter to the Crawley Town fans, Rollinson said: "The negotiations for the club are now complete, and the transfer of ownership will be completed as of tomorrow. I am here to build a solid club for the future, one that I can see one day competing for the Champions League."

Rollinson also included in his letter his quick and bold decision to sack current manager John Gregory. Regarding this decision he said, "I would like to thank John for all his hard work he has done here at Crawley Town. I feel though, that now the club is heading in a new direction, we need a new man at the helm."

Rollinson has encouraged managers to apply for the vacant position. The job advert can be found here: http://www.fm-base.co.uk/forum/foot...tion-thread-young-mans-dream.html#post2073175

This looks interesting, shame I missed the entry I would have enjoyed doing that manager job, good luck to whoever has it!

Adam Moore Hired As Crawley Manager

Jordan Rollinson has appointed rookie manager Adam Moore as manager of his new club Crawley Town. Moore has played football at a semi-professional level, but a serious injury forced him to retire at the age of just 23. His passion for football is still stronger than ever though, and has decided to continue his footballing career into management.

Some fans have expressed their concerns at appointing a manager with no previous experience but Rollinson rubbished their claims. "I have full confidence in Adam. He has excellent credentials and will do a superb job at the club." He has also proved his trust in his new manager by giving him a rumored transfer budget of a whopping 5 Million! The Red Devils fans will be hoping that their new chairmans confidence is well placed.

Adam Moore - The New Man in Charge!

So I sit here as the new man in charge of Crawley Town! I have to say that I am lucky to be working with a great set up here and I am incredibly happy with how much trust the chairman has given me!

So first of all, most important thing to do has to be checking out the squad I have inherited and will be hoping to improve with my very generous 5 Million transfer budget!

View attachment 404913

So from first looks at the squad... it is quite small... be we do have some really good experienced players such as Gary Dicker and Andy Drury who are going to be running the middle of the pitch for me, where as we also have some great young talent in the squad such as James Hurst who will be my first choice right back, Mark Connolly who will be one of the starting centre backs and also up front we have the promising Jamie Proctor who will be fighting it out with Matt Tubbs and Rory Fallon for first choice in my preferred 4231 formation!

--------------------------------------------------

So after looking over the squad and deciding on the formations I will be playing, I can definitely see some improvements we need to bring:

GK: Paul Jones is definitely first choice but could probably do with a better back up as I don't think Maddison is quite up to it yet.

RB: Perfectly fine, doesn't need improving unless I find some really good deal!

LB: One of my main problems at the moment as Matt Sadler is not a brilliant first choice to have so will definitely be needing to bring someone in.

CB: Very happy with the set up in the middle of defence but may bring in someone else with a bit of experience.

MC: Also very happy with this and will maybe look at bringing in a youngster or two with potential so they can learn from the experienced Dicker and Drury.

AMR: Billy Clarke is of course first choice here but Sergio Torres is not up to my standard so may look to bring in a good youngster, maybe on loan.

AMC: We actually have no natural AMC so will definitely need to bring in someone capable of slotting straight into this position.

AML: No natural AML and I dont think Mike Jones is up to it so will definitely bring in someone to make the position his own from the off.

ST: Very happy with this position and we really do not need to bring in anyone else, unless I find some youngster with good potential.

So as you can see there are a fair few positions I need to improve and due to this the assistant manager will be controlling the squad for the pre-season games as to give me more time to find suitable players:

View attachment 404908

So we have some very hard friendlies against Hull, Man Utd U21s and Nottm Forest which I think we would do well to even draw in, but the others I think we can win. Good luck to my assistant!

Adam Moore - Great Pre-Season!

So at the start of pre-season, seeing some of the teams we had to play and that I was leaving it to my assistant manager to take charge we would have some trouble...

View attachment 404869

But I was completely wrong! We had an excellent pre-season with the highlight definitely being the win over Hull! Definitely didn't think we would have beaten them and we also performed very well against Forest and only just lost! Well done Keith Curle (Assistant Manager)!

Clearly the squad is adapting well to my tactics and are raring to go for the season ahead!

Next time you see me I will be talking about our new boys at the club! And there are quite a lot!

Hope the big man upstairs is pleased with how we got on and it has paid back a little bit of the trust he has put in me!

Transfers Galore At Crawley!

So I took full advantage of the generous 5 Million given to me by my chairman as I spend the full amount and have a complete overhaul of the squad with 18 players coming in! All of them are great quality and also young prospects with the average age being around 22-23!

View attachment 404115

Goalkeeper:

View attachment 404110 View attachment 404108

Marc McCallum | Jamie Jones

Decided that Paul Jones wasn't up to my standards so brought in Jamie Jones from Leyton Orient to become our new first choice keeper and then also brought in McCallum as a great break up, both of them young and with great potential so I am sure these 2 will be my choices for a while to come!

Right Back:

No one brought in as I am happy enough with Connolly and Hurst

Left Back:

View attachment 404113 View attachment 404105

Giverin | McGivern

One of my main concerns when I first came and safe to say I easily solved this problem with 2 great players! Initially brought in Giverin as my first choice but then saw McGivern and really wanted him and so glad I have got him as he is a great player and they both have lots of potential, McGivern first choice and Giverin back up.

Centre Back:

View attachment 404098

Eastman

Wasn't that concerned with this position initially but decided it would be better to bring in someone who is already a class player and Eastman fitted that description exactly and will be the first centre back into my squad every week.

Centre Midfield:

View attachment 404087 View attachment 404085 View attachment 404083 View attachment 404079

Diao | Lobjoit | McGowan | Taiwo

So even though we had the likes of Drury and Dicker in the team already I really thought we could do with boosting the depth of this position so broughtin Diao who I am sure will be good enough for us for a season, Lobjoit is brought in as a future player and has gone out on loan to Barnet, and McGowan and Taiwo are also brought in to fight for the centre midfield positions as I think it is always good to have competition for places

Right Wing:

View attachment 404071 View attachment 404062

Darikwa | Nicholson

So another concerning position for me at the start but now definitely sorted as Darikwa is brought in as my first choice and then we have the great back up of Nicholson who has great potential to fight with Darikwa for first choice in the future

Attacking Central Midfield:

View attachment 404067

Moussa

We had no natural player for this position and Moussa is a great acquisition and will definitely be able to perform for us this season I am sure! No back up may be an issue but I am sure some of the other players we have can fill in

Left Wing:

View attachment 404063 View attachment 404068 View attachment 404060

Low | Lopez | Balanta

So Low and Balanta have been brought in to fight it our for first choice and I am sure it they will both perform excellently for us, with Lopez being brought in as a future player as he isn't quite up to it yet but has lots of potential so will probably go out on loan

Striker:

View attachment 404057 View attachment 404056

Agdestein | McManus

Initially wasn't an issue but Tubbs got injured so terminated his loan and then Proctor was playing shockingly and Fallon was injured so had a mad rush on deadline day to bring these 2 guys in, McManus will most likely be my first choice with Agdestein being back up but he may be able to push him out of it.

Squad

View attachment 404049

So this is the squad we will be playing with this season (unless we get anyone else in in January) and I have to admit this squad looks incredibly strong! In my opinion one of the best in the league and should definitely have the quality to be able to get us into the Championship this season!

------------------------------

Next update from me will be regarding my first full month of league and cup fixtures in charge of Crawley and it was a very up and down month!

Nice buys, will follow.

First Competitive Month in Charge
By Adam Moore (Manager)

So after a hectic and busy transfer period for the club, we had our first lot of competitive fixtures in the league and also in the Capital One Cup, and bar one or two results... it went alright!

View attachment 402914

So as you can see the first month of fixtures got off to a pretty good start until out visit to Wolves! Lets see what went on!

------------------------------

View attachment 402907

View attachment 402905

MOTM: Carl Baker (Coventry)

So we literally could not have got off to a better start as we score inside the 1st minute! And for the rest of the game we were probably the better side but a problem which is consistent this month is that the strikers we had at the time could not finish at all! We should have won as we had twice as many shots and a bit more possession but alas we could not!

------------------------------

View attachment 402904

View attachment 402903

MOTM: Leon Legge (Gillingham)

No idea how we only just won this as we dominated Gillingham and they only managed 4 shots and 42% possession so clearly we should have won this a bit more clearly, but still, a win is a win and we get the first win of our campaign!

------------------------------

View attachment 402902

View attachment 402901

MOTM: Angelo Balanta (Crawley)

So this game surprised me that there was just 1 goal as there was 33 shots overall! Gladly the majority of them were ours (19) but clearly actually finishing is an issue which hopefully the new strikers I brought in on deadline day can solve! Balanta with the winning goal on his debut, lovely!

------------------------------

View attachment 402900

View attachment 402899

MOTM: Tendayi Darikwa (Crawley)

Such a strong performance which based on the stats should have really been a draw! Rotherham had 2 more shots than us (13) but we had more possession (53%) so it was quite an even game, but somehow it seems that everyone knew how to actually finish this game as of the 11 shots we had, 5 were on target, and they all went in! (Even if one was a deflection!) Good to get a big win under our belt so early on and show we mean business!

------------------------------

View attachment 402898

View attachment 402897

MOTM: James Henry (Wolves)

Well what can I say? We deserved to lose like this. We were poor and Wolves showed why the were the favourite to win the league and return to the Championship as they tore us a new one and only allowed us 4 shots in the entire game! Really could have been a lot worse than this as they could have probably scored 6 or 7 with the way they were playing! ****!

------------------------------

View attachment 402896

View attachment 402895

MOTM: Jack Dunn (Liverpool)

Even before the line up I was worrying about this as even their younger players are very good (Proved by Jack Dunn) but once I saw their line up... dear god was I worried! Johnson, Toure, Anita, Allen, Sterling all playing for them and they destroyed us. Just like the previous game the difference in quality shone through and we definitely wouldn't have deserved to go through if we somehow had after that performance from us. At least this gives us a chance to focus on the league I suppose!

------------------------------

View attachment 402894

View attachment 402893

MOTM: Tow Taiwo (Crawley)

Happy that we managed to put those 2 poor games behind us and come out with a good performance to win this! The much better side but yet again the poor finishing was a problem for us again and this could have been a lot more comfortable... can easily say Proctor is going to have to do a lot to prove to me he deserves another chance after this finishing this month! Good way to finish my first month!

------------------------------

League

View attachment 402891

So overall the performance in the league was good as at the end of the first month we sit in 3rd, level with points on 2nd, which to be honest is a position I would take at the end of the season! Bar Wolves and Liverpool, I knew we had the quality to beat the other teams we played this month and I am glad we did, and I am going to put the draw against Coventry down to nerves and that they hadn't really played together!

Hopefully we can push on next month and really start to perform and show why the Chairman has put so much faith in me to get us to the Championship!

Also hope he was pleased with my transfers and our performance this month!

Chairman's Log
dear-diary.jpg

I am very encouraged by the way young Adam has started at the club. Its very pleasing to see he has seemingly spent the money I gave him well, with all the new signings so far gelling well together, which means they should only push on and become stronger as a group. I am very pleased with the signing of Salif Diao. The Senegalese international joins with vast amounts of experience. He even won the Ligue 1 title with Monaco back in 2000. I am also very please with the 5-0 thrashing of Rotherham.

The only one major disappointment of the month was the humiliating defeat against Wolves. It was always going to be a hard game, but to lose in the way we did was not very pleasing at all.

All in all though, I am very happy with the way Adam has started, and I feel he has the potential to be the one to take this club onto the heights it deserves.

Bad Beginning, Happy Ending for September!
By Adam Moore (Manager)

So as you can see from the title... this month started off shockingly! But it improved quickly, due to the change of tactics and I am hoping the one that we performed well with at the end of the month can help us for a bit longer! Lets see what I mean...

View attachment 402856

So we started the month off with another 4-0 battering... ****! But after this game I changed up the tactics and we managed a very thrilling draw... but then I changed them again for the Colchester game and it worked wonderfully to get us the win, and I used it again against Oldham for another 2-0 win! Can't beat good old 442!

Lets see how they games went down shall we!

------------------------------

View attachment 402855

View attachment 402854

MOTM: Adebayo Akinfenwa (Gillingham)

So we beat them in the cup in August... then they do this to us! ****! The thing is its not like we didn't have our own chances... we just couldn't shoot as of the 6 shots we had 0 were on target! And they had 5 or their 9 on target! Possession was pretty even so clearly problem here was that when we had the ball we just couldn't do much with it... sure the tank was also the reason why we lost as well!

------------------------------

View attachment 402852

View attachment 402851

MOTM: Tom Eaves (Shrewsbury)

So I decided to go for more of a... well you could say... "funky" formation for this game as you can see...

View attachment 402846

And we played better with this as we were probably the better side... but I don't think the players liked it and with some of the roles I let them play we kept getting caught out of position and they had quite a bit of space which they punished us for... but overall a much better performance... just wish we could of held onto 1 of the 3 leads we had!

------------------------------

View attachment 402845

View attachment 402844

MOTM: Tom Taiwo (Crawley)

So switched tactics up again for this game and went for your standard 442! And it worked like a dream! We restricted Colchester in the middle of the pitch, kept the ball, and when we had it we made chances! And it paid off! A good win to go alongside a very good performance! So of course I used the tactic in the next game...

------------------------------

View attachment 402842

View attachment 402841

MOTM: Nicky Low (Crawley)

And it worked just like the last game! Making more of our possession, closing them down quickly, not giving them a chance to make chances for themselves, and we are even starting to get more shots on target now as we managed 7 of our 12... still not amazing but better than normal! Hopefully this is the tactic for us and will do good for us for the future!

------------------------------

League

View attachment 402832

So even with the huge defeat and goal bonanza of a draw we still manage to be sitting in 2nd, just 1 point behind Wolves! After last month I thought we would probably be around the bottom of the play offs but no! Think some of the other teams results probably helped us but still, time to take advantage of this position and push on now!

Tough month coming up as we face Sheff Utd and Bristol City... 2 of the best teams in this league so we will have to play well! Also we will be playing our first game in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy South as we entertain Colchester in the 2nd round... a cup run of some kind would be nice! Also good chance for silverware too!

------------------------------

Other

One issue we now have though is that during these games, Proctor was injured for 3 - 4 months and McManus is injured for 2 weeks meaning we only really have Agdestein as even though Fallon is back I don't want to rush him... lets hope Agdestein can step up!

October - Load of Rubbish!

Well this month sucked...

View attachment 401140

------------------------------

View attachment 401139

View attachment 401138

Well this ended up being a poor peformance... I knew we were going to stuggle as Sheff Utd are a good team but I thought we would be able to put up some sort of fight! A defeat we definitely deserved.

------------------------------

View attachment 401137

View attachment 401136

For a neutral this would have been a very good game as there was lots of action and was very end to end! Thought that we have the quality to be able to win this comfortably, but still happy we came out with the win, even if it had to be done through a very last minute goal!

------------------------------

View attachment 401135

View attachment 401134

Dammit. Another game I knew would be tough but I thought we could at least get a draw out of it! Seem to be struggling against the bigger teams, which is definitely going to need sorting out if we want promotion!

------------------------------

View attachment 401132

View attachment 401131

We could have won this game a lot more comfortably as we were the very much stronger side, but disappointed we could only score 1. Still seem to have an issue with our strikers scoring as only 1 striker has scored so far this month.

------------------------------

View attachment 401130

View attachment 401129

Very annoyed with this result! Port Vale are a team who are in the relegation zone (at the time of this game) so of course was definitely expecting us to get a strong convincing win, but we couldn't even manage that! Very disappointed with our performances this month.

------------------------------

View attachment 401128

View attachment 401127

Icing on the top of an incredibly bad cake as we have a shocking month, topped off with this disappointing defeat and a red card to boot! The main issue being that the 2nd yellow card Diao received was because the player he "tackled" dived! So now we have to go without one of our best players for the next game, not promising for ending our poor form!

------------------------------

League

View attachment 401126

So with the poor form this month it has now resulted in us dropping to 9th in the table. Literally have nothing positive to say about this month, as I am sure the owner doesn't either! Only good thing still remaining is that we are still only 3 points off 2nd so still a good chance for us to catch up!

November - Still Not Brilliant!

View attachment 399458

Some very good results and some very bad results... was a very up and down month, still not performing how we should be!

-----
-------------------------

View attachment 399457

View attachment 399456

MOTM: Martin Fillo (Brentford)

So we didn't play poor enough to deserve a loss like this and I think we really could have maybe got a draw out of this... but we couldn't and this really did start a not very good month for us.

------------------------------

View attachment 399455

View attachment 399454

MOTM: Lee Molyneux (Crewe)

Very well deserved loss for us, we were absolutely outplayed this game and got the hammering we deserved. Gave everyone the rollicking they deserved. Although suppose this may give us a better chance to focus on the league...

------------------------------

View attachment 399453

View attachment 399452

MOTM: Frank Moussa (Crawley)

Finally a good win! We were the much better side and got ourselves a very good win to get us into the Semi Final where we will be playing Northampton! Looks like a good chance for us to get into the final!

------------------------------

View attachment 399451

View attachment 399450

MOTM: Lewis Guy (Carlisle)

Aaaand we are brought straight back down to earth after getting absolutely destroyed by Carlisle... in a game which based on the stats really should have been a draw! Unluckily for us their players were in excellent shooting form in this game and scored all of their shots on target, where as we couldn't... ****! Decided after this to not use the 4231 tactic again, and have now got some new tactics which I shall be trying out!

------------------------------

View attachment 399449

View attachment 399448

MOTM: Tendayi Darikwa (Crawley)

So my newly chosen 4222 tactic worked wonders in this game! Based on the stats it should have been a draw but clearly we were the team who made our chances count as we get our first win in the league for 5 games!

------------------------------

View attachment 399447

View attachment 399446

MOTM: Tendayi Darikwa (Crawley)

So coming into this game... Swindow were 2nd and we were exactly in brilliant form so I was expecting another battering for us... but no! We played absolutely excellently in probably our best performance this season as we completely dominated them allowed them only 42% possession and just 6 shots all game! Also used the 4222 tactic for this!

------------------------------

View attachment 399445

View attachment 399444

MOTM: Oliver Turton (Crewe)

So we end a poor month with a loss we did not deserve at all! We were the much better side, problem being that Crewe took their chances and we did not! Poor finishing has yet again come back to haunt us!

------------------------------

League

View attachment 399442

So our poor month has ended up with us dropping down to 14th, which is clearly not where we want to be! But luckily we are still somehow just 2 points of 5th place so easily if results went our way we could jump right back up into the play offs! Lets hope we can be there by the end of the year... just 1 month to do it!

Another pretty disappointing month!

------------------------------

View attachment 399419

View attachment 399418

MOTM: Nicky Low (Crawley)

So even though we win I am kind of disappointed with this, as we were the much better side, as we should have been with Northampton being in League 2 and we really should have won this a lot more comfortably! But we are through to the South Final where we will be playing MK Dons!

------------------------------

View attachment 399416

View attachment 399415

MOTM: Craig Slater (Preston)

I have a deep hatred for games like this... we were the better side and we definitely did not deserve to lose! Better result probably should have been a draw as even though we were better, yet again we did not take advantage of our chances, where as Preston did... ****!

------------------------------

View attachment 399414

View attachment 399413

MOTM: Nathan Clarke (Leyton Orient)

Probably the right result as even though we had the majority of the possession (64%) we did not do anything when we had it as we managed just 3 shots, and when Orient did get the ball they made it count as they managed 8 shots, so should probably be happy it tend turn out like last game!

------------------------------

View attachment 399411

View attachment 399412

MOTM: Torborn Agdestein (Crawley)

So we get a win we deserve! We were the slightly better side and our poor finishing meant that we only just won, but if we could finish the majority of our better chances properly we could have won by 3 or 4! At least we end the year and the month with a win!

------------------------------

League

View attachment 399410

So our pretty poor performance this month in the league has been lucky, as we have managed to move up to 12th and we are just 3 points behind 5th place so we are not far off the play offs... but we are coming up to January where it is very busy as we have 7 games... could easily see me getting sacked here with a poor run of results!

So even though we conceded goals Connolly still managed to make 3 good performances in his appearances this month and I am assuming that if we did not have him performing like this we could have maybe drawn or lost those games!

Chairman's Log

dear-diary.jpg

After a very excellent start, its been a very disappointing few month for the club. They have been performing very inconsistently. It is so frustrating seeing the team perform fantastically one game, to being hammered the next. Because of this, the position of our manager is now under review. Despite the current poor form, his saving grace is that we are only 3 point from the play-off spots in a very tight league. Also reaching the Johnstone Paint Trophy South Final is very pleasing.

I dont want to change things around too quickly, but if we continue dropping away from the play-off spots, I will have to relieve Moore from his duty. In line with this, I have given him a maximum of two loses for the month of January. If he loses more, I will have the unfortunate job of sacking my first manager.

So we start of February brightly as we win a very tight game and get to go into the 2nd leg of the South Final with a 1-0 lead! Very good game where we got lucky a few times that they didn't make use of their chances, but our defence was on fine form with all of them getting at least 7.2!

MOTM: Adam Forshaw (Brentford)

Aaaaand the poor league form continues as we get a 4th league defeat in a row in a game we should have won! The goal they scored... was there only shot on target in the whole game!!!! I genuinely think the footballing gods hate me.

MOTM: John Pritchard (Stevenage)

I just don't think we even deserve to win anything now. We play so well, keep the possession, have the chances but just do nothing with it!!! Although Stevenage were actually quite good in this game but they definitely did not deserve the win, should have been a draw.

So mid February we sit in 16th... 11 points off 6th and just 4 above the relegation zone... safe to say that our promotion ambitions are screwed! I do not know what it is... we dominate every game in possession, we play good passing football, we create chances, I do not know what it is but no one seems to be able to score!

Can easily say I do not think the Chairman will be pleased with our league position and that we have lost 5 on the bounce...

Adam Moore Sacked!

Crawley Town have today relieved their manager Adam Moore of his duties. The decision comes after a poor run of games, looking six of their last nine games, and only winning two. They are sitting in a disappointing 15th place in the league. After spending a massive 5 Million in the summer, the chairman was expecting at least a promotion challenge, but now their find themselves just 4 points from the relegation zone.

In a statement released by the club, Rollinson said, "It is with great regret I must terminate Adams contract. I have a vision for the club, and we are currently was below where I expected. I would like to thank Adam for all his hard work, and wish him the best in the future."

Crawley Town are now looking for a new manager, and encourage people to apply here:

In another story, Rollinson has also purchased another club. This time he paid just 500k for Blue Square South side Whitehawk, and has appointed himself manager. His reason for buying the club was to turn them into a youth/feeder team for Crawley. They will then be able to give the youth players game time before they are ready to play first time for Crawley.

Adam Moore - My Sacking

So... as you have read I have been relieved up my duties at Crawley Town Football Club and I have to admit that I believe it was the right decision to make for the club as I just do not seem to the ability to get the performances out of the quality of players we have.

We had a great side and we just could not put a run of form together. A few times I was criticised by the press due to my tactics but I decided to stick it out and keep with them, but unfortunately this has cost me my job.

I would like to thank the Chairman for giving me the opportunity to be part of such a great vision at a club and for giving me control over such assets and giving me the time and patience even during tough times earlier on.

I hope that Crawley is able to go on to become the club the Chairman envisions and I am sure that the next person they bring in will be the right person for the job, and he will be getting to join up with a great bunch of lads and an excellent boss!

All the best to everyone at Crawley Town Football Club.

Adam Moore
