I know i've started a couple of stories recently and through lack of motivation i haven't followed through with them so i got them deleted by an admin (So no need for abuse Max :P), the only story i have currently running now is my Espanyol one which i have been doing religously! So for those of who follow this do not fear i will be continuing this one no matter what as it is one that interests me!

So i've decided to take on my own challenge and just started a new save game with Aberdeen FC to see if i can break the Celtic-Rangers dominance of Scottish football!

On first taking over the club the first thing i've noted is that team are in dire straits financially! I have been given £0 transfer budget and a wage budget of £36k and the teams wages currently add up to £35k to begin with and the best players are only on £3k a week and have a £6m loan to pay off! Its also just been announced that the loan repayments have started and will be £525k a month, i reckon that means with wages and other stuff on top the club is going to be losing £750k+ each month!

One positive i have noted is that the team has many promising young talents such as:
-Callum McRobbie
View attachment 24324
-Scott Ross
-Stirling Smith
-Sammy Stewart
-Peter Pawlett
-Frazer Fyvie

Obviously the majority of signings will have to be free transfers due to lack of funds and i will have to sell players to make way for new ones, may have to sell some of the young talent at my disposal aswell as at the moment the club needs short term success not short term potential.

Potential Signings:
-Michael Ball (Free)
-Marlong King (Free)
-Fabrice Fernandes (Free)
-Laurent Robert (Free)

What an uphill task i face! I arranged friendlies against every Premier League team available, meaning i have quite a few friendlies and back to back fixtures on some occasions to get in some finance, so my pre season looks like this:

-Aberdeen Reserves (h)
-Chelsea (h)
-Bordeaux (h)
-Liverpool (h)
-Panathinaikos (h)
-Derby (a)
-Arsenal (h)
-Man City (h)
-Inverness CT (a)
-Bolton (h)
-GH Academy (h)
-Everton (h)
-Dungannon (a)
-Shrewsbury (a)
-PSG (h)

I hope you all look forward to reading and following my career and successes with Aberdeen FC as i try and lead them out of financial difficulties to cup successes and a healthy bank balance!

2009/2010 League Prediction: 3rd

In my first post i said my ambition for 1st season is 3rd, but i'd take 4th happily which is where the media predicted i'd finish. 2nd season if i do well in the transfer market may be the season to break the old firm, if not then it WILL happen season 3 and the title will be ours by season 4

Pre-season Evaluation:
Obviously there was going to be some heavy defeats do to the level of opposition i was playing. Very happy to get a 1-1 draw against Chelsea, but to lose 8-0 to Man City at home and away at Inverness who are a league below is unacceptable. After these results i will certainly be looking to bolster my back line before the transfer window closes.

Next Update will include:
-Europa League results
-First Month of league games
-Transfer window overview

P.S. Would people rather me list and type out results or provide screenshots? Its just screenshots take up a lot of space and take longer to look at so unless people ask for them i won't be providing many screenshots if thats ok?

Aberdeen FC: From Financial Crisis To Cup Success

August Review:

Aberdeen FC 2-1 HJK Helsinki (Europa League 3rd Qualifying Round 1st Leg)
Miller 60,90---- Salminen 66

HJK Helsinki 1-2 Aberdeen FC (Europa League 3rd Qualifying Round 2nd Leg)
Korhonen 13---- Miller 42, 47

Overall very happy to have qualified for the 4th qualifying round glad to see Miller in and amongst the goals he could be key for me this season and also we received some much needed prize money for qualifying.

Aberdeen FC 0-2 Celtic (Premier League)
---------------------Ball O.G. 20
---------------------Brown 37

Pretty disappointed to lose, although to be honest Celtic should be beating me i would have been happier if i got a point. Ball's OG was a joke, keeper made a fantastic save and then ball turned around and passed it into his own net!

Aston Villa 1-0 Aberdeen FC (Europa League Qualifying Round 1st Leg)
Henry 10 ------Stewart Sent Off 87

Aberdeen FC 0-3 Aston Villa (Europa League Qualifying Round 2nd Leg)
---------------------Carew 60
---------------------Agbonlahor 87
---------------------Gardner 89

After only being 1-0 down after the first leg i felt we had a chance to nick a 1-0 at home and take it to extra time and maybe even penalties, but in the end Villa showed there class and superior fitness and we just ran out of steam.

Aberdeen FC 2-1 Motherwell (Premier League)
Miller 1 -----------Forbes 37
King 29

Great to get our first win and 3pts on the board, couldnt have asked for a better start to the match really! Was a bit nervy after they made it 2-1 but we controlled the game after that and managed to see it out for the win.
