So, to keep this short. I bought a player who I got my high level scouts to give me details on his rating and it was 4 stars so I bought the guy (20M). Two weeks (in the game) after I finalized the deal, the players rating according to my Assistant Manager (Judging Player Ability :20; Judging Player Potential :20) was 2 stars!!!
I've seen this happen a couple of times when the scout report of a player I bought was too old and the player has dropped in ability once I bought him but this is the first time I double checked.
Is this a glitch? is it possible that it will revert back quickly? Or is this just another unfortunate event that FM creators need to change.
