About Reserve Squad and its league

I am playing with Bayern Munich and the year is now 2023. The thing is, when I first started the game I selected the option where I can only play with first and second division teams.

The problem is, Bayern Munich II (reserve squad for Bayern Munich) plays in third division and then my reserve squad can't get any training or match fitness so all my backup players can't live up to their potentials or improve.


Is there a way to edit game options so that I can enable more league divisions to be playable, like to make it so that my reserve squad participates in league competitons?

I'm not sure but you could try creating friendlies for the reserves. I know Italy doesn't have a reserve league either and it's very annoying because it's useful to get players coming back from injury to full fitness. As for young players fulfilling there potential, they don't really develop playing reserve football so it's worth playing them in the first team or sending them out on loan.

The thing is, I think it would be best for my reserve squad to play their weekly third league division matches to keep them ready... But I don't know how to change it to enable it.
