Hey guys, just thought it was about time i introduced myself as ive been knocking about this site for just over a month :). Im Timmsy, real name andmanager name Matthew Timms, i'm 18 years old, live in Cheshire but i'm currently at the University of Sheffield studying management. I support Northampton Town who are my home town club and Manchester United. My favourite footballers of all time are David Beckham, Matt Le Tissier, Eric Cantona and Peter Schmeichel.

How do,

Hows the course at Sheffield? What modules you doing? I do Accounting at Hull and in our first year all business students (Accounting, Business, Economics, Management, Marketing etc) do the exact same first year, it isn't till the second we specialise...is it the same for you?

Welcome!

Alright mate, yeah course at Sheffield is going well thanks, just finished first semester exams. Erm at Sheffield the Management and Accounting students do the same first year and then specialise in second year. First semester i did 'Principles of Marketing', 'Business Economics', 'Introduction to Behaviour at Work', 'Quantitative and IT Skills', 'Business Statistics' and 'Introduction to Financial Accouning' you? Cheers mate!

In first year I did;

Business Economics (which I found horrendous, passed with 46! lol)
Academic and Professional skills (this sounds like your Quantitative and IT Skills, bullshit module).
Financial Accounting
Management and Organisational Behaviour (Introduction to behaviour at work?)
Marketing
Accounting and Finance.

Would seem to be the same course, but you have Business Stats I have Accounting and Finance. Managed to pass first year with a 2:1. I am in my last year at the moment (4th, took a year out to work at BAE Systems).

Good luck with the course.

Yeah sounds very similar mate, mines a 3 year course but can me made into 4 if i choose to do a year in Business like you did, did you find doing that worthwhile?

Yeh the money was great, went to Florida with it. Looks good on the CV also and could open opportunities for a graduate job back at the same place. I recommend it.

Mate of mine did one year of aerospace dynamics at Sheffield. Then he took a year out to be a full-blown alchie before going back to university.

Anyway, welcome!

Welcome mate...
My step-dad is from Northampton and loves the club to bits
