Brendan Rodgers Resigns From Liverpool

Brendan Rodgers has today shocked Liverpool fans by announcing he will be leaving the club by mutual consent. The reasons behind his departure is unknown, but it is rumored he and the club owners disagreed on their visions of the club. The Liverpool fans were quick to voice their disappointment at the decision, but thanked Rodgers for all the hard work he had put into the club. Brazilian Legend Given First Management Job

View attachment 496293

Legendary Brazilian striker Ronaldo Luis Nazario de Lima, more commonly known as Ronaldo. The 38 year old Brazilian retired from football at the end of last season. In terms of his playing career, he is almost unmatched in the number of world class teams he has played for. He had spells at both Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona, and also both Italian giants A.C Milan and Inter Milan. He also won the most coveted trophy, the World Cup, on two occasions with Brazil.

The Brazilian is now taking his first step into management, and Liverpool fans will no doubt be hoping Ronaldo will be able to bring their club the success he enjoyed as a player. It is a huge risk by the owners though, as Ronaldo has no previous experience in management.

Will Ronaldo take Liverpool to the next level? Or will the risk prove to be a failure?

Only time will tell

"Im Aiming For The Top" Says Ronaldo

Ronaldo has officially been unveiled as Liverpool manager in a press conference today. The 38 year old manager has high expectations, saying that he wants to once again win the Champions League with the club. He said he was "aiming for the top" with the club. Liverpool fans will no doubt be impressed with their new managers ambition, but surely the added pressure could had an adverse effect on the club.

Press conference in full

Paul Metcalf: Ronaldo, welcome to England. Having never played club football in England, are you happy to be here?
Ronaldo: Yes, I am delighted to be here, especially at Liverpool. When I was a a boy, they were one of the greatest teams in Europe. Unfortunately, they are going through a bit of an empty spell. It is my aim to bring back the glory they once had. Im aiming for the top.
Jake Webb: Ronaldo, this is your first job in management, do you feel you are up to the challege?
Ronaldo: Of course! If I didnt believe in myself, I would not have taken the job. I have full confidence in myself, as well that the team which I am going to be working with.
Ian Graham: Are we likely to see much transfer action Mr Ronaldo?
Ronaldo: I will be looking to make a few change yes, especially with the backroom staff. I have several members of staff I would like to bring in which I feel will be of great benefit to the club. In terms of players, I have a few targets in mind, but whether they are completed is another matter.
Ryan Jackson: Ronaldo, there has been lots of speculation over the future of Luis Suarez. What are your thoughts on that?
Ronaldo: There has been a lot of speculation surrounding Luis, but it doesnt bother me at all. As far as I am concerned, Luis is a Liverpool player, and it will remain that way. Luis is one of the best players in the world right now. Perhaps only two players are currently better than him. If he leaves, there will be a huge loss of talent which we will be unable to fill.

Ronaldo Bring In Ex-Brazil Teammates

Ronaldo has been quick to bring in his own staff, bringing in several of his former Brazilian team mates. Roberto Carlos, Ze Roberto, Dida and Juninho have all be bought in as coached at the club. Ronaldo has also brought in several other Brazilian backroom staff, including his new assistant, 59 year old Tata.

Ronaldo Make Double Signing

View attachment 421625View attachment 496800

Ronaldo has signed yet another one of his former team mates, this time Barcelona favourite Ronaldo de Assis Moreira, otherwise know as Ronaldinho. Despite being 33 years old, Ronaldo still feels former team mate and friend Ronaldinho has something to offer the side. His vast experience alone would be of great benefit to any side. Like Ronaldo, he too has won the World Cup, as well as the Champions League and Spanish titles.
Liverpool have also completed the signing of lesser known Otavio for 8.25 Million. The 18 year old was in good form for his former club Internacional, having scored 7 goals in 19 appearances. He if definitely one for the future, but Ronaldo feels he will have some involvement in the first team this season.
There is little to report in terms of outgoing from the club, but Joao Teixeira has joined Millwall on loan, and Samed Yesil has joined Dresden on loan.

Good Pre-season For Liverpool

The season is now less than one week away, and Liverpool will go into it full of confidence. They played six games in total, winning three, drawing one and losing one. Their best result was a massive nine-nil victory over Portadown. Despite being massive favorites, no one expected them to produce a nine-nil win. They also had three three-nil wins, a two-two draw, and a two-nil loss. Liverpool now face an opening day trip to newly promoted side Crystal Palace.

Ronaldo's Tactics

View attachment 421517

Ronaldo seems to have settled on a counter attacking 5-4-1 formation over the the last six friendly games. He seems to be focusing his team on pressing high up the pitch and counter attacking quickly. With Liverpool having very fast players in their side, it looks as though it will work out well for Ronaldo. Only time will tell though.

Liverpool Make Positive Start

It was a fairly positive start for Ronaldo and his Liverpool side at the start of the season, winning three out of four of their opening games. They started their campaign at Crystal Palace, where Luis Suarez opened his account for the season before Sturridge gave Liverpool a two-nil victory. Next up Norwich visited Anfield, and Liverpool got a one-nil victory thanks to a Raheem Sterling goal. New Liverpool signing Otavio got his first game in a comfortable three-nil victory in the Capital One Cup against Walsall. The young Brazilian got himself on the score sheet twice, and Sakho got the other goal. The final game of the month was a tricky away game against Arsenal. Had Liverpool been more organised from set-pieces, they may have got something from the game. In the end, Arsenal won the game three-two

Crystal Palace 0 - 2 Liverpool

View attachment 421047 View attachment 421046

Ronaldo: An excellent way to start my first game in management. The lads put in a professional performance in what could have been a tricky game against the newly promoted side.

Liverpool 1 - 0 Norwich

View attachment 421045 View attachment 421044

Ronaldo: Despite winning the game, I am perhaps disappointed we only scored once. We completely dominated the game, and should have scored more. Great credit do Raheem though, who scored a really good goal.

Liverpool 3 - 0 Walsall

View attachment 421043 View attachment 421042

Ronaldo: Glad to see little Otavio repaid the faith I had in him. The young lad got two nice goals. Hopefully he will continue to impress. This also sees us progress to the next round of the Capital One Cup, a trophy I feel it is possible for us to win.

Arsenal 3 - 2 Liverpool

View attachment 421041 View attachment 421040

Ronaldo: A very frustrating game for us as we felt we should have come away with at least a point. We only have ourselves to blame though. Our defending from set pieces was woeful, and it is something we need to work on in the training ground. We are looking to put this game behind us now and focus on our next game against Chelsea

Unbeaten Month For Liverpool

It was a good month for new Liverpool manager Ronaldo, winning three of the four games his side played this month. Their first game of the month was a difficult home game against Chelsea. It was a very tight game, with an own goal from Ramires proving to be the winner for Liverpool. Next up at Anfield was Welsh side Swansea. Liverpool's new signing Otavio got his first Premiership goal of the season as well as young John Flanagan getting his first goal of the season. Liverpool we then pushed hard in the third round of the Capital One Cup by Hull. The game went to extra time, and Otavio scored twice to give Liverpool a three-one win. Otavio perhaps could have had more, but he missed a penalty and also had a goal ruled out for offside. The final game of the month was a one-one draw against Newcastle.

Liverpool 1 - 0 Chelsea

View attachment 417323 View attachment 417322

Ronaldo: It was a very tricky tie against a strong Chelsea side, and it was pleasing to be able to pick up a win. We perhaps created the better chances so we deserved to win. Unfortunately for us Daniel [Agger] has picked up a serious injury, and could be out for up to three months.

Liverpool 2 - 0 Swansea

View attachment 417320 View attachment 417319

Ronaldo: A good win for us against a good Swansea team. Its nice to see the younger players getting involved an on the score sheet.

Liverpool e3-1 Hull

View attachment 417318 View attachment 417317

Ronaldo: It was a bit disappoint to have to go to extra time to progress in the Capital One Cup, but ultimately I am glad we made it though. Young Otavio has a good game again. He was unfortunate not to get four goals, having one disallowed for offside, and unfortunately he miss the opportunity from the penalty spot.

Newcastle 1 - 1 Liverpool

View attachment 417315 View attachment 417314

Ronaldo: It was a very poor game from both sides. It was a scrappy game, which deserved to end in a draw.

Player of The Month

Otavio was the stand out player of the month this time. The Brazilian striker scored three goal in three games, including two important goals in Capital One Cup game against Hull.

Loving this so far, great idea, do you plan on adding any more Brazilians perhaps an all Brazilian transfer policy ;)

Probably wont be an all Brazilian policy due to registration rules, but I will certainly favor them

Perfect Month For Liverpool

It was a perfect month for Liverpool in October, winning four games in four. Their opening game was against West Brom, which proved to me much tougher than Liverpool would have hoped. They were two-one down in the eighty seventh minute, but goals from Sakho and Sterling gave the a last gasp win. Next up was Southampton coming to Anfield, and Sturridge got the only goal of the game. Next up was once of the hardest away games of the season, a trip to the Etihad. Just like the Chelsea game, it was a cautious affair, and Liverpool ran out one-nil winners. Liverpool also progressed to the fifth round of the Capital One Cup with a good three-one victory against Newcastle. Liverpool also completed the signing of Jonathon Dos Santos on a free transfer this month.

Liverpool 3 - 2 West Brom

View attachment 417236 View attachment 417235

Ronaldo: I am very pleased with the result today. West Brom played well and were hard to break down, but I was delighted when Raheem popped up to score the winner in injury time.

Liverpool 1 - 0 Southampton

View attachment 417234 View attachment 417233

Ronaldo: Sturridge had a good game today, getting the only goal of the game. It was perhaps disappointing that we were unable to create more chances to score, but we will take the win at the end of the day.

Manchester City 0 - 1 Liverpool

View attachment 417232 View attachment 417231

Ronaldo: We put on an excellent defensive performance today. We soaked up a lot of pressure, and had a few good chances of our own. Sakho has a great game at the back, making some crucial interceptions.

Liverpool 3 - 1 Newcastle

View attachment 417230 View attachment 417229

Ronaldo: Once again we have progressed to the next round of the cup, and I now honestly feel it is a competition we can win, if we continue performing at this level. I was pleased with the number of chances we created, and we could have perhaps had even more than three.
