Hello, i'm posting to ask for some tips and direction in trying to create a tactic devised for a possession based
game but focal point being the lone striker who i rely on to score goals and assist the the three behind him. In realistic terms, i guess the closest team to play in this style would be arsenal.
Problems i'm having here is the striker tends to not get enough of the ball so we struggle to create CCCs in attack and when we defend unless i apply team instructions such as drop deeper, we are waaaaay to open at the back.
Can anyone direct me in term of team instruction, player roles and instructions.
FYI for player instructions, i have the CF to move into channels and my goalkeeper to distribute to defenders.
Thanks.

i would say if you want a possession based game you'll need playmaker(s) able to keep possession under pressure, BBM don't do that i would pick a DLP. If you want your striker to be a goalscorer it is better providing him of an attack duty and if you want to use the trequartista try with an AF with the IF/S :)

I appreciate the advice, say im not adamant on a trequartista, what role would u play there instead? And would u still keep both wide players on IF-A?
Also, what team instructions wud u recommend considering i want to keep possession without wasting time on the ball so chances are created?

i like more the AP/A in that position, the IFs on attack duty are more suited for scoring if you have them on support they will create more chances for the striker, having the IFs on support means that you need WBs behind, if you prefer keep the FBs then i would use Wingers. for the instruction you can try this

you will have possession and chances. however the base can be solid but you have to change your approach game by game, it is vital in this edition ;)
