N.B. This is my first story and if it goes well it will run into many seasons. I am planning to manage Northern D1N side AFC Fylde into the football league. I have made one edit to the DB giving the club excellent Youth Facilities. I hope to show that success can be gained by investing in youth instead of throwing cash around after overplayed players. I hope you enjoy.

AFC Fylde 3 – 1 Fleetwood
AFC Fylde recorded a surprise victory over local rivals Fleetwood and will now play Preston U18s who recorded a 1-0 victory over their rivals Blackpool U18s.

Preseason Round Up


AFC Fylde enjoyed a busy and successful preseason winning the Fylde Coast YMCA Cup and causing some upsets against Glasgow University and Petershill.
Boyd has made his first transfer signing obtaining 18 year old central midfielder from Banbury for £18,000 meanwhile 20 year old central defender Mark Lawlor has gone on loan to Ramsbottom for 3 month.

Courting Controversy

Meanwhile AFC Fylde manager Robert Boyd has been courting controversy by telling the Blackpool Gazette that Blackpool and Fleetwood have gone stale and are taking their supporters for granted. Boyd has promised good attacking football from Fylde and referred to his team as the "New Order" he has promised to get the club into the Football League within 5 years.

my story kinda died but i got a twist that ima work on next week so keep one eye on it :)
 
My original idea was for AFC Fylde to get bought by a major investor and give the club lots of money, I played it that way and it was fun getting into L2 by consecutive promotions but by the time I got to L2 I ran out of money lol.

I like your Solihul story, looking forward to the twist. Would love to see how the football world would react to a female manager in the football league?

August Round Up

Fylde had a good start to the season with a 4-0 win at home to Warrington and a 2-1 win at home to Curzon Ashton and end the month at the top of the league.

Not such good news in the FA Cup where Fylde only managed a 1-1 draw away to Oxhey Jets. Fylde's attempts to secure Preston defender Adam Barton also came to an abrupt end when Barton refused to go to Fylde.

Despite the negatives Boyd has told the press that he is proud of his teams opening month and in particular Chris Hearn who became the clubs youngest goalscorer.

tbh... the only difference it makes to your game being a female is the questions yu get asked in your very first press confernce... i really fail to see any other differences :)

im going to attempt to mix my fmbase life with my game :)

ill be editing my database slightly and doing someother stuff... but thats all ima give away.... good luck with this btw :)

AFC Fylde are now formally looking for a new assistant manager following the departure of Jo Chamberlain.

Adverts have been placed in the footballing press as well as through the Job Center.

AFC are a Equal Opportunities employer however not sure you want to take on these lads?
 
Interesting Theory RBG will keep an eye on this, I think it may take a couple of seasons for really good youths / regens to start to come in, but if this workjs, ima pinch your idea, as I fancy toying with the idea of a pure English Team / only a few foreigners

Only downside is I loaded with all European leagues on and it takes and age each time I change to a different day but doing the story along side it is keeping me going.

Think by the time I get into conference should be seeing some really good players.
