July 1st: Former Southport defender Derek Goulding was today sacked as manager of AFC Liverpool after being caught by AFC Liverpool's Nigerian forward Olanrewaju Giwa rummaging through the players belongings in the dressing room whilst one of his coaches was taking a training session. When asked about the incident, Goulding told us all of his shock ''Errrmmmmm, I really didn't expect to be found out, I was looking for Paul Moore's (Assistant Manager) car keys as he has a BMW and I only have a Peugeot 106. Ermmm what do you expect, I am scouse no?''

July 6th: Ex England international Alex Whitehouse was today announced as the new high profile manager of AFC Liverpool. The lifelong Liverpool supporter declared himself delighted about how the past few months had gone and announced his ultimate aim: To overtake their Anfield counterparts in the future. ''In terms of realistic aims, I would like to become the most successful club in England but I have set no timescale for this. However in the next 5 seasons I would like to see the club promoted at least twice then we will re-assess the situation.

How will the club cope with Whitehouse's appointment? Find out soon

good luck. Make sure you win the Liverpool Senior Cup though. Don't lose to Waterloo Dock like I did once

All the best mate, look forward to following! Nice lay out also....

Waterloo dock are on it?! I'll make sure I beat them then. And updates soon guys, just working through pre-season.

Good luck, i will be very impressed if you get them to be a bigger club than Liverpool FC ;)

Good luck Al, i remember someone did a AFC Liverpool story on Football Manager 2009, and i did follow that, so why not follow yours. :)

Footnote - I originally wrote out a better design for the fixtures, however I accidentally pushed backspace and lost all of what I wrote. So I have just put a screenshot of all the fixtures. The standout game being the Liverpool reserves one. A more informative fixture update next time round.

August

This was a difficult month for the club with some tricky fixtures. We didn't score many goals but we also didn't concede a single goal. That was the one positive, the negative being that we do need a striker and badly, a clinical striker at this level is like goldust and this will be our main intention in September. All games are league unless stated.

A decent result, unfortunately we could and should have scored a lot more but throughout the season the result is the most important thing.

A fantastic performance today, Prescot are above us in the football pyramid and it really showed what we are capable of. Darren Grieves in the 62nd minute putting us infront, we defended like beavers in the last 20 minutes having coped with some continous pressure from Prescot. Great result and through to the next round of the cup.

A little disappointing today after having so many chances to win the game, Yates with the best chance of the game through one on one chipped the keeper but it also went over the bar. Disappointing but still unbeaten. We will be looking to pick up all 3 points next time round.

Frustrating, very frustrating. We again missed a lot of chances further strengthening my claim of needing a new striker in the team. This is imperative if we are to do well this season. Hopefully though we can start winning games.

League table

A slow start from us but we are still unbeaten and have a game in hand on everyone above us. Hopefully we will win it and start pushing on for the automatic promotion places which is the main aim for the season.

I tried to do a story with them, but before i could start my three best plaers left for free,i got annoyed and quit, good luck mate

Good to see a new story Al, I really enjoyed the CSKA one, given that your last entry is a week ago I hope that you haven't given up just as I started following?! :P

Great stuff so far Al. I always love level 10 stories. I am currently managing Odd Down who I have brought up to level 8 with back to back promotions.

Good luck!
