Well I am not very experienced in FM cause the only games I've played were CM4 and FM 06 (mostly FM 06) because I had a bad computer and got a new one so now I can play FM 12.I learned about how to use the game and created a tactic like this and was curious what you think.

I started with Liverpool with the latest LFC Marshall update.

I promoted Sterling,Samed Yesil,and Suso...and gave away Spearing with J.Cole on loan.

I bought Marcos Alonso from Bolton because J.Enrique only had J.Robinson as a substitute and needed urgently a DL.

I also wanted to add depth into attack:
-got Del Piero on a free transfer
-got Theo Walcott from Arsenal
-signed Edison Cavani from Napoli

My main and only tactic is this :

I play with a 4-1-3-2 formation

I created a rigid tactic with :
-Short Passing
-Creative Freedom : Default
-Closing down:press more
-Tackling :Default
-Marking : Man
-Crosses:Flat Crosses
-Roaming:Default

also with giving player duties.

GK defend
RB Support
CB and CB Defend
LB Support
MC support
and rest is attack

I play Walcott as AMR as well as Henderson and MC are Joe Allen,Lucas Leiva and Nuri Sahin.

My aim in my gameplan is that I want to have a possession game, with a lot of passes and chances to score as well as a game with counter attacking tactics.Like too when I catch the opposition on a counter attack to be able to get in the opposite field with 3-4 passes and score. I would like if you would tell me what do you think of my tactics and any suggestions and advice would be welcome.

Cheers.

Are you playing this formation

Flat 4
MC
AML - AMC - AMR
FC - FC

?

If so, then I would suggest not to :D Its an extremly attacking formation ( the formation on the screen is the defenisve formation, then runs from deep, mentality, wide play etc dictates the attacking formation) As it is now, the formation along with the rigid approach and the staggered duties, will see you have 2 blocks on the field that will be too far apart. While this might work in a amnner that exploit the match engine, you wont see any possession football

Yeah I do play the formation you said you said with MC AMR AMC AML AND FC FC so what other formations would you recommend and what settings? :D

Well, why not start out with a normal wide 4231 MC, MC, AMR, AML, FC and take it from there. Have a look in the sticked thread where there is a discussion as how to setup a possession tactic and see if you can pick up a few tips from there. Remember that every team need its balance so it might not be a good idea to use too many attacking minded players and too few defensive specialists

your saying like MC MC with AMR AMC and AML and FC? would be such a bad idea but I hope my attackers get enough 1st XI selections still would be good though I would play Allen and Lucas.Allen a playmaker and Lucas can get the get the balls back and retain possesion. play Downing AML ,AMC Gerrard or Suso, and Walcott as AMR but the one FC would be Del Piero, Cavani,Borini,Suarez

Okay I made a new tactic with a 4-2-3-1 with AMR AMC and AML and one forward I changed the settings to fluid, more roaming, quick tempo, direct passing and zonal marking and my first match with this tactic was with MK Dons and the score was 2-6 for my team. With possession of 51% 255 passes and 80% pass success.I liked how my team played.I could see the difference.
