Has anyone else noticed the AI make ludicrous transfers for example selling a player for £20 million then buying him back two seasons later for 40. Personally I sold on a young right back at a fair profit to Arsenal in the summer. He performed fairly well for them, but they sold him for a massive loss in January. I know players get unhappy, but it's ridiculous sometimes.

Yeah that's normal...

In mine AC Milan save Napoli just bought Mauro Icardi and Pierre Aubameyang both was with add ons +€45M so about €100M just for two strikers... Okay they did sell Higuain to Arsenal about €55M but still no sense about those transfers...

They don't have 'memory' so that would be why.

I bought Trippier from Spurs for £3.5m at Christmas. That summer they wanted him back for £12m. Not completely unrealistic sometimes tbf. Happens. Thing I find stupid is City buying all around and not playing them. City paid a good bit of money for Berahino and Ayoze Perez on a save before and didnt play either of them and they ended back up on the transfer list.

The annoying thing about that is that it inflates their wage demands

Which is what happens IRL with wages!!
Eactly. Wish some player had sense in the game. Players who are motivated by playing time recognize they wont be starting ahead of Aguero and 5 other £20m+ strikers and take lower offers from other teams

I know for Man City the game would have the board instruct the manager to sign big names every season so it would mimic City from a few years ago when they'd have a massive squad go unused, not sure if it's still the same.

Happens all the time

Im managing Stoke.

Sold Shaqiri to Chelsea for £50m, bought him back one season later for £8m

He made 4 starts for them and came on 3 times as a sub. Chelsea basically paid me £42m to loan him for a season

Yup, I also find that AI is stupid when it comes to transfers this year, I really hope it'll be improved in the next FM version.

I agree the transfers area requires improving in FM, it looks like the only thing that AI cares about when making transfers is players PA.

AI managers still have shortlists dont they?
The AI is good at buying high potential players but I still see big clubs doing big transfers just like IRL.
the AI not registrating his newest transfers was a bug that's been fixed, that was the only real transfer issue I've seen in FM16

They do indeed. That's the reason loading more leagues is vital.

I see some people are confusing the transfer module with the squad/match picker though.
