Ajax tactic-> possession and goals

Dear all,

Second season with Ajax-> Won the league easily first year (20 points ahead), but this season struggling (Tied for 1st 22 games in) and doing abysmal in CL both years.

I have managed to get a tactic rolling that plays posession, but its not great at creating chances (60-70% pos, 8-12 shots max). Putting AMC on more direct passing, time wasting down, slightly more Creative freedom for DPL and my AMC, still not great.

Also, away my defense is leaky...

CM/BWM (Support/Defend): Gago, Diarra (mahmadou)

AMR (attack): Narsingh, Verhoek
AMC (Attack): Eriksen, Buonenotte
AML (attack): Tadic, Boerrigter, Lodeiro

FC (Attack): Wilfried Bony, Sigthorsson, Luuk de Jong

Have been wondering of pulling Eriksen to DPL at MLC position and putting Buonenotta/Luuk de Jong in a trequartista role behind the strikers to get more players into the box (or Buonenotte in general, as he is better at finishing).

Anyway, help appreciated!

When Young come as a sub I forgot to man mark him and the result was -two headed goals.I hit the post in 120min.

As it is now, you a running a block of 2, in which very few players act in the transition phase, supporting the attacking players. Whilst this might work aainst some teams, it often fails against teams sitting deep and playing compact. It gets you posession alright since the AI simply dosn not want to close down your players at the cost of risking being pulled out of position

I would probably try to play wider, let the wingers be on support. I would also stay away from tweaking any sliders at all, just use the TC and its shouts
