Biography

Anyone who watched the Emirates Cup would have noticed Harry Novillo and Alexandre Lacazette. Lacazette in particular stood out, this being his 3rd game in 3 days.
On this display, Lacazette clearly loves to pace it down the wings, and try to get in to the box to run onto goalscoring oppurtunities. He has good passing skills and as the following video will testify, a powerful long shot.

In the Emirates, he telepathically linked up with Novillo, providing an excellent cross for his young team-mate (the 2nd goal)

Blessed with explosive pace, Lacazette is already given a speed of 16/acceleration 18 in FM 2010. However, as this has been a breakaway season for the young Frenchman, I can see a large PA/CA boost. He clearly loves the pressure, too, scoring the winning goal for the France U19s with an excellently timed header against Spain.

His stats arent up to much in FM 2010 (CA:90, PA:144).
Here is him as a Portsmouth player on my Juventus save (2014).

Potential Stats FM 2011

Crossing:15
His cross to Novillo was superb, not choosing to pick up Tafer and aiming for Novillo's run into the box.

Dribbling:14
He showed that he was v. comfortable on the ball, but he isnt a world class dribbler.

Finishing:13
He clearly has an eye for goal

First Touch:15
He showed a good touch. His current FM 2010 First Touch is 13, so I can see this improving

Technique:16
OL place a large emphasis on Technique: Benzema/Ben Arfa. He oozes quality and seemed quite technically good: i.e he strikes the ball well

Pace:17
No change

Acceleration:18
No change

Composure:12
He's ice cool on the ball, and has an eye for goal. 12 seems reasonable

Agility:15.
Very little change from 2010 here.

Off the Ball:15
His movement to score the winning goal for France was superb

Long Shots:12
See the second video. He nearly pulled another long shot off in the Emirates

Nat.Fitness: 16
3 games in 3 days? Clearly v. fit and the only thing that stopped him playing more than 5 minutes against Arsenal was a slight hamstring niggle

Stamina:18
See above.

I'd say he would be a quality player for any Premier Division side, but may be reluctant to leave Lyon : he has been there all his life. At 19, he may well be past Verratti age, and only has a good 5 years of development in him, but 2009/10 was a break-out season for the young Frenchman. You must remember, this is a product of the famed L'OL academy, alongside:
***
Ludovic Giuly
Hatem Ben Arfa
Karim Benzema
Freddie Kanoute
Loic Remy
Steed Malbranque
Maor Bozaglo
Abdelkader Ghezzal
Yannis Tafer....
to name but a few

Watch for the name. He could be massive in FM 2011. Or just average ;).

Detailed report, looks good lets hope to see more of him in FM11

watch out for enzo reale i made a post a little time back on him also a lyon player great prospect for fm11 future wonderkid

on my lyon save the guy is good and is rapid !

screenie

he is a good sub for my Lyon team, i expect him to turn out better on '10 than most ppl give him credit for. i actually loaned out Tafer and Belfodil for him. Novillo is pretty cack unfort.

If you buy him at the start of the game, tutor him and train him well there is no reason why he can't turn out deadly.
