Brighton announce Hyypia resignation
Finn leaves after only weeks in charge of club
Brighton and Hove Albion have announced that manager Sami Hyypia has left the club by mutual consent. The exact reasoning has yet to reveal itself but an inside source has told Sky sources that he left due to having little input on the recruitment process at the Amex. The current frontrunners for the job are former Norwich boss Chris Hughton and former Tottenham Manager Tim Sherwood.
"We move on". Brighton Chairman Tony Bloom

Brighton Chairman Tony Bloom has spoken to Sky Sports News this evening about the departure of Sami Hyypia and the process of replacing the Finn. "It is very disappointing for him to jump the ship this early into our relationship". It has also been said that the Finn was disappointed at the lack of control he had over the process of replacing certain key players from the last campaign, such as Leo Ulloa and Will Buckley. Bloom said that he would look for a similar manager to Hyypia as he felt that the club needed an energetic young manager but also a manager who had an affinity with the club. Ex-Brighton and Celtic centre-half Adam Virgo has confirmed his interest in the Amex hotseat.
More news to come.
