Sky Sports revealed today that Martin O'Neil has resigned with immediate effect from Aston Villa

Speculation Is rife with several managers in the frame but the decision ultimately comes down to American owner Randy Lerner.

Randy Lerner has been quoted as saying:

"I am looking for a manager who an carry on from where Martin (O'Neil) left off. That can push the squad to its limits and leaves the money side of the club to myself. I and the board would like a man-manager who also knows the transfer market very well."

Pugh Named As New Villa Manager!

Aston Villa Chairman Randy Lerner has Hired Untried Manager Desmond Pugh as the new manger.

Pugh has stated that he wants to win the Premier League within 5 seasons and the champions league also.

" I want to take the club to the next level and achieve what Martin O'Neil couldn't and get this club to new heights"
