Ok if the title isnt clear enough i will try to explain it more here.

In my current save, players like Essien, Kaka & David Silva has been dropping from 4 stars (quality players) to 2 stars (useful players), due to lack of match fitness or injuries... All of them aint young in my save so i m juz wondering if there is a chance that they will go back to their own potential one day... Their respective clubs have been offering them to me for a really cheap price (except Essien becos he is mind i have juz sent him out on loan), so i m wondering if i should sign them. Thanks =)

I'm not sure, i've certainly had players drop down massively in ability due to the reasons you said but i can't quite remember whether they could return to their full potential. Mainly because after the drop i don't think i really ever played them constantly again. Tough question to answer as it takes a bit of dedication to try and return a ruined player back to his peak.

After serious injuries I don't think they can, well thats according to my personal experience. I had Rooney on fire, out for 8 months with ACL came back 2 stars never improved and couldn't hit a barn door. He left for a free and signed for Swansea.

Alright then i guess it is almost impossible to get them to their full potential... Thanks guys =)

The experience that they have had is always very handy, regardless of their star rating.

Hate it when this happens, happened with Rodallega on my Wigan save, tore his hamstring and out for 3 months, got back to fitness and did the same thing again but out for 4 months, came back and is now nowhere near good enough.

It isnt always true to real life though, Van Nistelrooy did his crutiates and came back even better, as did the real Ronaldo.

Pretty sure Kaka usually comes out of his slump in the game. It depends. What I find horrifying is that RVP is only good for one or two seasons, he ends up becoming dreadful due to injuries!
