So I sold a player to make transfer funds but before I could stop it from happening, my board took 25% of the profit. Now I am short a little less than $2 million to sign this hot prospect I really want? Is there a way to make quick money? I really want to sign him now because if I wait, he'll only become more expensive?

Should I cut some of my useless prospects?

If not, what's the fastest way I can unsettle him and put him on the transfer list so I can buy him for cheaper?

Thanks

does paying for someone over 48 months not affect your transfer budget or what?

Yes but it only takes away a fraction of your budget, it's good to use but if you use it too much you will be paying out millions in clauses each month, which sucks.

Make two managers, one for the club you want to manage, one for Man City. Adjust the budget of Man City to give them the highest transfer budget you can, then loan one of the worse players from the other team, with all of City's transfer budget payed up front. Once the loan has been agreed and the player moves, retire the manager of Man City. Your team will have a ton of money.

Learned that a while ago.

If you want to cheat why do all of these long winded routes? Just get Real time editor.

He doesn't want to 'cheat'. He wants to know how he can make money to buy players.

I suggest:
+ Changing the Wage-TransferFund ratio in the board room (if you know what I mean?)
+ Sell players
+ Get money from playing friendly matches
etc.

Something tells me you've done this before ;)

At the start of the season just say you'll win the title in season expectations, youll get more money but th board may be dissapointed with you at the end of the season

Haha, done it a few times on FM10 :P

I know this isn't a quick fix but sign a few extra players on free transfers that you are unlikely to need with lower wage demands but would possibly command a big transfer fee (ie has a few international caps or is likely to have a bigger reputation). You can sell them on in the next transfer window. If you do this in the January window and keep them until the window the following season its a good way to top up your budget for the new season and free up a bit of your wage allowance too. Watch this though because you could end up with a team of duds that you can't get shot of. Free transfers are the way forward if you're a smaller club.
