Hi. I've always been a huge fan of these games (VERY addictive) but can never seem to grasp how to get the ****** little dots to do what i want lol i have an idea of the 'plan' for them but no idea how to translate that idea to the dots with the sliders and what not...Certain instructions seem to counter other instructions, imo...i also apologise if this is long but would reeeaallly appreciate the time from anyone who can offer help
I'm building on the basis of the 'rule of 2' as far as mentality to keep as compact as possible...is this still true for this version or have their been changes?
Anyways, my master plan is to dominate posession and hopefully build on creating chances from there...But my main plan of action is to dominate the midfield, be defensively solid and build from that basis.
I've found with the fb's/wb's pushed slightly in front of the dc's creates a better chance for triangle formations between the dc's - f'bs - midfield, but this then lets the opposing wingers easily in behind me. Is there some way of maybe getting the fb's to still push up for this triangle formation but with the flat back 4 to prevent space in behind?
My main idea to achieve this is to have a deeper defensive line, forcing the opposition to push up and create space behind their defence, and then draw them onto my midfield, win the ball and then spring my AMC into attack (as stated below). I dont want to tick the counter attack box though as i feel my team stands off too much allowing the other team to have the ball
I've been experimenting with a AMC on trequiasta (sp) with 2 MC's behind him. I love that when the MC's win the ball then spring it forward to the AMC who's left in plenty of space. BUT I've also been a huge fan of having a DMC to fill the hole in front of the defence and clean up. Can I still achieve the DMC effect with a CM? If so, whats the best way?
Hopefully I'm not boring you yet :S
I also really love the way the wide AM's cut inside when instructed as 'inside forward' ,or whatever its called, but then again this creates to much of a hole between the winger and the fb's and they don't seem to track back. Ideally, this is where I'd like to have quick one-twos played between the wide men and the MC's/FB's...Wouldnt we all Is there any way to create the wingers to cut inside as an extra man in the box but still not have huge space between them and the FB's?
Now to my age old problem of passing. I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting to create short, quick, flowing passing from defence to attack. I select shorter passing throughout my team but inevitably players either play long balls or balls blankly into the abyss when there is a man waiting in a free position. What are the main factors to my passing going awry? tempo? width? formation positioning of players too far eg. if i put my wide AM's as wide midfielders would this reduce the space between them and my defence and create more flowing passes?
I'd guess i want a slower tempo with short passing to achieve my goal?
I'd obviously like more players in the box as the formation I'm using only allows 1 striker. Does forward runs move players drastically out of position and break up the flow of passing?
I have many more questions but I'd rather people read this and offer advice than just get sick of me
Thanks in advance for any help
