Anyone else inexpicably losing every game?

I'd just like to start by saying that i'm fully aware that the game is in Beta and that I am not moaning for some help, just a quite humorous thing that seems to be happening to me.

So i've started 5 different games so far, varying from Belgian lower leagues to EPL and the MLS and my teams have the same thing in common in that they are all unable to win. I wouldn't have thought much of it if things had: a) started to turn round at some point, or b) other players had mentioned similar experiences on the forum, but you guys seem to be loving it and it just ain't fair!

I have to say that the game as a whole is a marvellous piece of work, by far the best yet with a highly polished and more logical GUI and some great new features. Just a shame my tactical genius is yet to be realised.

You know how people found away games hard in fm13 i know find it hard to even win at home haha! i don't know what to do BTW what formations are you using?

This is getting seriously weird... the last 3 games I have taken a 3-goal, 5-goal and 2-goal lead only to lose 3-4, draw 5-5 and lose 2-3... proper odd.

In response to Kareem, i'm using various tactics depending on the team. The current games i'm talking about are with a Belgian lower league outifit called Coxyde. As they are a relatively lame team, i'm using a pretty basic deep variation of a 4-4-2 with DM's rather than CM's, so I was expecting to see narrow scorelines due to the negativity of my play. Instead both my team and the opposition are scoring for fun.

Yeah i've been noticing a similar thing. The only success I've had so far is essentially playing as standard a 4-4-2 as you can get, with no additional instructions or anything. I'm struggling to figure out why this is the case though. Like you, I've tried multiple tactics across multiple saves.

My advice to you guys is start with your Man City's, Real Madrid's, Juventus's etc...

When you have a bigger team you can find formations, tweak them and then put them to use with lower league teams

I'm finding it very friendly to be honest. Started two games so far using a custom tactic I spent time developing on beta release night and have only lost 6-7 out of 70 or so games so far over the two games. Granted, it was with Newcastle & Celtic, but I have also been doing remarkably well against the top sides.

That would be the logical next step, but I much prefer to create a tactic to suit the league/team in question rather than port the same one about because it works well with some teams. That's my style anyway. I'm sure it's just a Beta issue.

That could be tactical issue. Check how many chances your team are creating, and whether or not your striker has good composure.

The issue i'm having is quite the opposite, my team score ridiculously, but also concede like a pub team despite having good defenders and playing with two DM's!

To be honest the defenders and goalkeeper make a ton of errors with SI are currently fixing, this is probably why.

i've found 451 with defensive and rigid and set instructions and each player has their own instructions work for my Crewe save...

play around with thetactics abit and keep tweaking till you get t right

Im currently arsenal ive tried every possession based tactic there possibly is and it has not worked but now ive gone to 343 and im winning games 3-1 6-1 3-0 ow

Ok, stop the presses. I managed to win 3 games in a row by switching all my defenders to 'limited' roles.

Glad I'm not the only one who seems to conceding an awful lot, even against the not so strong teams i'm conceding at least 2-3 goals against them but although I am scoring a lot of goals. It's still in BETA so i'm not complaining.

Completely agree mate. Only the Beta, in't it.

Wondering if the impact of 'Limited Full Backs' has been miscaclculated or something, as they are the only role that seem to be able to defend properly.
