So apart from the usual scouting, buy low sell high, tactics, training etc is there anything else that you do to guarantee success in the later years of the game?

After about 2020 when there are hardly any recognisable players left in the game, does anyone else find it difficult to get the underdog high up in the league like you can when starting a brand new game?

Ive taken over west ham in the championship and got promoted to the prem in the first full season. I added a bit more depth and experience to the promoted squad (all freebies) but I am in the red and have no transfer funds. I ****** all over the championship so didn't think I would need many changes in my first season in order to stay up but after 11 games I have 4 wins, 1 draw and 6 losses and now sitting precariously above the drop zone.

Im still hoping I stay up, and should then have some funds for investing in some youthful talent but until then any success stories in later years with **** teams, ageing squad, no money and no big names to easily sell?

Thanks

:D
