Anyone managed to create a winning tactic utilising a Libero?

I only ask as I haven't, I tried at Barcelona with Busquets in the role, and he played all right, but he was just acting as a 3rd central defender even as an attacking Libero!

Having just checked though Busquets 'stays back at all times' maybe the worst choice for Libero...

In the end I have come to the tactic below, 1000 miles away (although it's still working).

I'm wondering if you'd play
GK
Libero
RB CB LB
DM
CM CM
IF IF
AF
But if the Libero doesn't really get forward a lot its just like playing with a back 4...?

Look at the Germany 1990 tactic in this thread http://www.fm-base.co.uk/forum/foot...nt-world-cup-winners-8-different-tactics.html.

I won the 2014 World Cup using that tactic which has a Libero. Haven't tried it with any club sides however.

Due to the match engine, you cannot play a Libero (or Sweeper) directly behind a centre back - they end up playing pretty much on top of one another, so your diagram above wouldn't work (I've tried it). The only viable way of doing it in the match engine is to play a DCL and DCR with a Sweeper (Libero) between the two - kind of like 3 centre backs but with the middle one playing slightly deeper.

You could also look here http://www.fm-base.co.uk/forum/foot...65-insert-cool-name-sweeper-3-5-2-system.html. It plays with a Sweeper rather than Libero, but may give you some ideas.

i did create one a while ago and found that using a creative midfielder in the liberio role attack works really well. I worked it on how Italy used di Rossi in last years euros

I have been playing with a libero for some time now :)The

formation is : GK
Libero ( A )
Bold.Fc * 2 ( X - D )
WB (s) DM ( S ) WB (s)
DLP ( D ) CM ( A )
