Application failing to initialize

Whenever I try to open FM, I get the following error.

fm.exe - Application Error

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000022). Click on OK to terminate the application.

So basically, I can't get on FM. Can anyone help?
 
It says there to delete the FM2009 (10) folder. I'll lose everything then, won't I?
 
yes so make sure you backup your save games
 
Just delete cache and setting folders in FM 2010 folder then restart computer and start FM.
You want lose anything because this is only the application Data and not the program folder.
You will have to re-install skin and reset custom filters.
 
Alright, so go into the FM2010 folder and only delete the cache and settings folders?

Yep FM10 in Application Data folder, Follow seans instructions to the letter until he says FM2010 folder open this and delete folders Cache and settings
 
I did that - then restarted, and I still get the same error message.
 
Got to go to start packing for the move I'll get in touch later to find how it went.
