are loans more viable now?

Im just wondering if anything has changed in FM 2014 loan system; in FM 2013 it was normally better to just keep the young players in the club instead of loaning them to get 1st team experience because they normally didnt develop half as well as if they would if they stayed..

has any of this changed? is it worth loaning a player out now?

That is not true.
If the "loan club" is
1) around current ability player's lvl ( you can see this from report tab)
2)it has same or better training facilities than you and
3) the loan offer is for him being valuable first team player then LOAN is BETTER than actually keeping him without first team games in your team.
Same happens in fm2014.
