Goals - Lionel Messi(10'), Gonzalo Higuain(15'), Carlos Tevez(43'), Kun Aguero(89') - Fernando Llorente(84')

New Argentina coach Sergio Batista is looking to re-create Argentina in his own vision and has already made changes to the squad that failed to reach the semi-finals at the 2010 World Cups in South Africa. With the expectations of the football fanatics in the South American country as high as ever, indeed Batista will have to deliver right from the start.

Reigning European and world champions Spain commenced their conquest for the Euro 2012 finals in perfect style on Friday when they defeated Lichtenstein 4-0 in their opening game of the qualifying campaign. Striker Fernando Torres struck twice and David Villa scored once to equal Raul's all-time record of 44 international goals for his nation.

ARGENTINA - Sergio Romero, Gabriel Heinze, Gabriel Milito, Martin Demichelis, Javier Zanetti, Esteban Cambiasso, Ever Banega, Carlos Tevez, Lionel Messi, Gonzalo Higuain: subs - Mariano Andujar, Nicolas Burdisso, Mario Bolati, Andres D'Alessandro, Ezequiel Lavezzi, Diego Milito, Kun Aguero, Walter Samuel, Angel di Maria.

SPAIN - Pepe Reina, Alvaro Arbeloa, Carlos Marchena, Gerard Pique, Ignacio Monreal, Xabi Alonso, Sergio Busquets, Cesc Fabregas, Andres iniesta, David Silva, David Villa: subs - Iker Casillas, Victor Valdes, Raul Albiol, Santi Cazorla, Pedro Munitis, Joan Capdevila, Sergio Ramos, Xavi, Jesus Navas, Fernando Llorente.

Spain are turning out quite an inexperienced team, with Reina, Arbeloa, Marchena, Monreal making rare starts for the side.
Argentina turning out a strong side, as their new manager looks to make his mark on the side.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Argentina's three man frontline is clearly paying off, as all three score in the opening 35 minutes. Spain need to change something in the second half, to try and get back into the game.
Lionel Messi is God.
What a finish!
Llorente looks like David Hasselhoff, also should've scored, great ball in.
4-1 with a minute to go. Spain haven't got out of the blocks, but this was basically the second string side against a full strength Argentina.
All we need is Cesc to get injured to end a perfect day :P
4-1 YEAH!!!! Stupid Maradona, he messed up at the WC. Argentina had a great squad though....
Saint Martin, is gone....he had his farewell from the squad at the WC.
Argentina´s strikers are inmense, Aguero, Messi, Tevez, Milito, Higuain, just to name a few...there is also Lisandro Lopez and a few others. Batista just needs to get a balanced midfield in order, and he will get a top class squad in return.
Even though Spain had a few subs in the rotation, almost 90% were part of the WC Squad, except Monreal, Cazorla (he was in the EUcup Squad)..... Argentina has shown the world of football that Spain can be beaten
