Argonauts - the best tactic I ever came up with

I was trying everything, from contain to overload. Tested, and tested and tested. More agressive tactics were great at scoring, but were struggling with defending and so lost against balanced teams, and my more defensive tactics were great at defending, but there was considerable strain to score goals and we lost against balanced teams. More agressive tactics required better players, with more flair and creativity, and less agressive tactics required discipline. Both lost against balanced teams. More agressive tactics required more men forward, less agressive tactics required more men at the back, and we were always disbalanced. So I said to myself, don't be a fool, create a balanced tactic yourself. And that's what I did. I picked a flexible, standard 4141 DM and made absolutely no changes regarding team instructions or player instructions. Simply kept everything mixed and at default. And I won. Everything. No matter what kind of opposition I faced and played home or away, we were always better then opponents. This was tested in fm2015 classic mode, since I can't afford fm 2017, but I downloaded 17 demo to save the fmf file and post it here. Enjoy!

Blew my mind right there. It's a different game mate, the amount of ME changes alone means your results in FM15 say absolutely nothing about how the tactic will function in FM17.
 
curious goal326499 can you share screens, i was thinking to go back to fm15 considering how bad fm17 is
 
I don't know how to post screenshots, but I am not trolling. You wont find a better tactic anywhere. It simply defends and attacks well, an all around performance. If you go counter or defensive, you may dull the edge of some attacking team, but you will have trouble scoring yourselves. If you go the other way around, you will find your net full. This tactic doesn't do miracles, and you will lose against better players, but if you have decent enough squad, you can go toe to toe with anyone, no matter if you play home or not. The fact it doesn't use any instructions is just the icing on the cake. It doesn't need any, because you aren't specialising in any mentality. The formation is picked for a reason. It features 5 midfield players, so nobody can outnumber you where it matters, it features a defensive triangle if players need that short pass, and it features blocks of two on the wings if players need direct passess. It's the best tactic I ever came up with, and it's almost genius, if you will allow me that statement.

and you are still playing with fm15 right?
Blew my mind right there. It's a different game mate, the amount of ME changes alone means your results in FM15 say absolutely nothing about how the tactic will function in FM17.
 
Football is a universal game. I wasn't building this for the game engine, I was building it for the real world. And the fact that there are no instructions should help with me changes. I'm playing the demo atm, and already beaten chelsea 1:0 with everton, even though my tactic isn't fluid yet.

Well for a tactic without any team/player instructions I'm getting quite good results...very strange
 
If you took barcelona, you would be first...like I said, it doesn't do miracles, you need good players.
 
well let's find a tactic on this forum, where Barcelona wouldn't be first or at least second in the leauge ;)
