ARRGGHH! Huge shortlist issues

I created this massive shortlist (nearly everyone in the game) and then filtered out most of them. After this I made this shortlist a "not-active" one. This worked fine in football manager 2008.

However it this version its creating this massive 15,000 news management list which is ******** my computer really bad. Is there a short quick way to empty this list rather than going through each manually?

It's driving me (and my computer) up the wall

honestly you could try editing subscriptions, or what my dad did was he wrote down players he found into categories, he put them in decent, good, excellent and world class and hot prospect categories
