Breaking News

Thomas Hickman is named new manager of Arsenal Football Club. What has happened to Arsene Wenger is unknown but this is a strange development coming from north London.

A topsy turvey month in which the season got off to a good start with the win against Southampton before the Champions League in which we dominated and didn't take our chances and then they ended up equalising in the last minute. The game against Manchester United was poor and we conceded 4 goals in 6 minutes in the second half before winning the second leg in the Champions League playoff and finishing the month strongly against Aston Villa.

Mikel Arteta won the Premiership player of the month award

In what mainly was a disappointing month with the defeat in the Champions League to the weakest team in the group and getting knocked out of the Capital One Cup to Swansea ended in the win against local rivals Chelsea which was a nice way to finish a disappointing month.

The only bad result of the month was the loss to Stoke but two wins in the Champions League was a upturn in fortunes for the team. Also two further wins in the league have kept us in the hunt for European qualification for next season.

In terms of the league, it wasn't a bad month with 2 wins and a draw against City in which we threw away a 2-0 lead and then went 3-2 up for them to score a minute later. In the Champions League the group is still all to play for with a trip to Atletico Madrid to look forward to in December as a decider.
