- The beginning
So this is it for me, my first story at fm-base and the first one in english so we will se how this goes. I have been wanting to start a story for some time but have'nt really found a team to play with. But now when I have that sorted out why not, lets do this. I was at Emirates in December and watched the game against Chelsea so why not play with them here on football manager as well. In real life Arsenal are not that much to like at the moment when we talk about their football so my main goal will be to change that. We want to play football that is fun to see and we want to win those trophies.

I have´nt really made up my mind yet on how I will report, if it will be every month or two per season, time will tell. Time to get this underway, time for succes at Emirates.

- Preseason
So time to step up the game and start focusing on the preseason because soon it's time for action. We started of this preseason by winning against our U23 team with 4-1. After that we left the UK for a game in Moscow against Spartak that we won 2-0 after two goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. We went back to the UK and played two games against smaller teams in Plymouth and Fleetwood. We won both of them easy (2-0 and 3-0) but the biggest win during the preseason came against PAOK. 5-0 and a really good performance from the players.

Arsenal 4-1 Arsenal Under 23s
Goalscorer: David Luiz, Gabriel Martinelli, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang x2
Player of the match: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Spartak Moscow 0-2 Arsenal
Goalscorer: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang x2
Player of the match: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Plymouth 0-2 Arsenal
Goalscorer: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Eddie Nketiah
Player of the match: Bukayo Saka

Fleetwood 0-3 Arsenal
Goalscorer: Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Bukayo Saka, Sead Kolašinac
Player of the match: Sead Kolašinac

PAOK 0-5 Arsenal
Goalscorer: Dani Ceballos, Reiss Nelson, Eddie Nketiah, Pablo Mari, Alexandre Lacazette
Player of the match: Reiss Nelson

When the last preseason game was played it was two weeks left until the first game of the season, away from home against Wolverhampton, tough one. After seeing the games from the players I think we have a good chance to be in the top of the league but there sure is some other better teams in the league. The board want us to qualify for the Europa League for next season and that should'nt be a problem. We will have to hope that our best players will stay in good shape and that we don't get many long injuries.

The preview of the upcoming seasons shows us that Liverpool are the favourites to bring home the titel to Merseyside with the teams from Manchester not far behind. Chelsea and Tottenham will also be in the race acording to medias. The medias think we will come 6th and that might be right but we want Champions League football so that will be the main target this season, to qualify for the Champions League. Will we do it with a top 4 position or will we win the Europa League, hope we can do at least one of them.

Four games played and we have won three of them and came away with a draw at Stamford Bride. That's a really good start from us and I am really happy with our performance so far. We started of with a win against Wolves after a goal on penalty from David Luiz. After that two derbies. We won the most important of them against Tottenham with 2-0 after a really solid game from us. At Stamford Bridge we had a much tougher time creating good chanses but we did manage to bring a point from it. In the last game of August we humiliated Norwich totally, we won 6-0 and we are in top of the league. Impressive for sure but we have not played against the most dangerous teams in the league yet.

The groups in Europa League have been drawn and we have been handed a easy one to be fair. AZ (Netherlands), Brøndby (Denmark) and APOEL (Cyprus) are the teams that we will face and I take for granted that we will win this group, we are so much better than those teams but you never know.

One more month in the history and this one was also a great one. We started of bad and only got 0-0 away to Crystal Palace, a team that is last in the league so far. After that three easy points against Bournemothin a game that was really good from Nicolas Pépé. To end this month we won big in Southampton in a well performed game from us. We are the team with second most goals scored so far with our 20, only Liverpool are better (21 goals) and it sure does look promising.

We have had two cup games as well. One in Europa League and one in EFL Cup. We started of our adventure in Europa Leauge by winning big against AZ in a game that both Aubameyang and Nelson scored twice. In the cup-game against Newcastle we did play a lot of youngsters but we managed to advance to the next round. The 4th round will be played at Emirates against Watford.

Really good month from us, we played six games and won them all. We started of by winning easy with the youngsters in Denmark. After that a really big and important game against Manchester United, we won 2-0 and we are looking really good out there at the moment. We had no problems with Leicester before the game in Europa League against APOEL. We won that game as well, 1-0 and the youngsters keeps on performing. The last game in the league was against Newcastle and no problems there, safe victory and three new points. October ended with us making it to quarter final in the EFL-Cup after winning agains Watford with 3-0 and once again, the youngsters keep on performing really well.

October was a great month for us and we have to keep on focusing on the games that are coming. November is not that tough for us but we will have to build on something good for December might be tough for us with a lot of games with not that many days to rest.

November was a month with five games and we won four of them and drew one. The game in Cyprus was also that one easy for us, 4-0 and Nketiah had a show with three goals and one assist. We then played to games in the league wich gave us six new points. 3-0 against Aston Villa and 4-1 against Brighton. We ended this month with a game in Europa League against AZ. We came away with one point but that did'nt mind me, we have advanced to the next round in Europa.

Well well well, what can I say.December is over and we are top of the league. Six points down to Liverpool but one game more played. We have won seven games this month, lost the first game and drew one. I am still very happy with how things are working out for us in the league and Europa League. We have 51 points on our 20 games played, really good to say the least. We started December by winning against West Ham and we ended 2019 by winning against Newcastle with 6-1.

Overall really pleased with everything but now I have some offers from some of the players to decide about and maby buy some new players. Two players are already sold, on to a rival in Premier League and one will move to Spain and Real Madrid. Next update will present what players that are leaving the club. One player are very close to sign with us but we will see what will happend there.

January transfer round-up and some great results.

January 2020

transfers out.png

Some really insteresting transfers have been made during January in London and Emirates Stadium. On the 1st of January is was clear that Timo Werner would leave Bundesliga and Leipzig to play for us in the Premier League. The release clause of 60M euro was paid and he was given shirt #7 in Arsenal. We had more money in bacuase of the sales of three big names but all I wanted to sell because of there wages or their age. Granit Xhake went to Manchester United for 59M euro, big money for a player like him so whyt not, good luck at Old Trafford. But he was'nt the only player from us to change to Manchester United during January, Sokratis Papastathopoulos did the same, this transfer gave us 18,25M euro. We also sold Alexandre Lacazette, he went to Real Madrid for 57M euro and what they want him for I don't know, but good money in for us. Joseph Olowu went to Chelmsford on loan for the rest of the season as well. Overall a really good January for us with much money in and not quit that much out. The german wonderkid might be a really good player for us, lets hope so.

Manchester United 1-4 Arsenal
Goalscorer : Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Timo Werner x3
Player of the match : Timo Werner

Arsenal 4-0 Crewe
Goalscorer : Eddie Nketiah Pablo Marí, Reiss Nelson, Joe Willock
Player of the match : Reiss Nelson

Arsenal 1-0 Tottenham

Goalscorer : Ainsley Maitland-Niles
Player of the match : Ainsley Maitland-Niles

Arsenal 4-0 Southampton
Goalscorer : Timo Werner, Pablo Marí, Rob Holding, Jaanik Vestergaard (own goal)
Player of the match : Nicolas Pépé

Arsenal 3-1 Leicester
Goalscorer : Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Timo Werner, Sokratis Papastathopoulos

Burnley 1-1 Arsenal
Goalscorer : Bukayo Saka

Goalscorer : Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, David Luiz, Nicolas Pépé
Player of the match : Tammy Abraham

Tottenham 2-5 Arsenal
Goalscorer : Reiss Nelson x2, David Luiz, Timo Werner, Dani Ceballos
Player of the match : Reiss Nelson

We have also played a lot of games during this time of the year. We won 4-1 at Old Trafford before we won 1-0 against our main rivals in EFL-Cup, semi final. After that three games in the league. Two wins and one draw. The draw against Burnley is a miss but don't really care because of the other two games. We played 3-3 against Chelsea at Stamford Bride in FA Cup and we did more that we had to in the rematch against Tottenham in EFL-Cup. We are in the final and there we will play against Burnley.

There is 18 games left to be played of this season in the league and I now think that we might get the job done. Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City of the big teams left to go up against and that should do. We can't loose focus now we have to keep on taking one game at the time.

February kicked off with a massive win against our rivals Tottenham with 2-1 away from the Emirates. This month also gave us victorys in the league against Wolverhampton and Everton. Our 4th round replay versus Chelsea in the FA Cup ended upwith a win for us and we are now one step closer to Wembley, next opponent is Liverpool, at Anfield.

In the knockout stage of Europa League we have played both games against Krasnodar. The first one, in Russia, we won easy with 5-1 after a show from Saka. The second leg at Emirates was not that important regarding the result in the first game so a lot of youngster played this one, 1-1 and to the next round we go.

We kicked off Match witch a big game, EFL Cup final against Burnley and after extra time we had the victory. Timo Werner the best player with two important goals. The games in the league was nothing than a plessure to watch. We started off by winning against Manchester City 4-1 and the club from Manchester might miss out on Champions League next season. Other than that two games and two wins. Won easy against Sheffield United and Brighton with youngsters and the titel just keeps on getting closer. Eight games left to be played in Premier League and 14 points clear.

We have also played the 2nd knockout round in Europa League. Also this time we had no problem to advance to the next round. We won 4-0 at Emirates Stadium and we just let the clock go in the rematch. 6-2 over two games and we are in quarter final and there it will be big games, we have been drawn against Chelsea. The FA Cup did'nt end well for us this year, Liverpool was to good at Anfield and we did'nt have a chance. 1-4 and not much to say really.

Player of the match : Timo Werner

We kicked of this month by taking a easy win against Aston Villa with 4-0. After that we came away with all the points from the game against Watford. We shared the points with West Ham at London Stadium before taking a really impressive win at Anfield. After 90 minutes and 3-2 win it was all clear, we are the english champions 2019/2020. After celebrating the league we went on a knock when we lost against Norwich. As you can see Crystal Palace and Burnley are relegated from Premier League.

In Europa League we had a bad start against Chelsea, 0-1 at Stamford but a good result to build on. The rematch was all but expected. We went on and crushed them. 5-1 and we had no problems reaching the semifinals. The first game was played in London and we did secure the place in the final here, 6-1 and all we can do in ther rematch is controll and make sure the youngsters get minutes.

The last days of the season and some really important games for us. Derbie is always special and this time was no difference, we went on and win without any problems with 3-0 after a show from Guendouzi, two goals and one assist. We then lost against Bournmouth after a really good game from their player Harry Wilson. We ended this campain bytaking three points from already relegated Crystal Palace. The last team to take the step down to the Championship was Watford, time for us to take some players from them maby. Fulham, Swansea and West Brom are welcomed to the top flight for next season.

We did manage to advance to the final in Europa League after defeat in Russia with 2-1 so 8-2 on aggregate. Manchester United won ther semifinal against Roma on away-goals (1-1) so it will be a really interesting final to be played in Gdánsk. In Champions League Liverpool are performing really well and will go up against Real Madrid in the final.

Sensational, what a performance. We have won the Europa League, beating our rivals Manchester United with 3-1 at Energa Gdańsk in Poland. This is our third trophy this season with Premiear League and Caraboa Cup being won as well.

We took a earlie lead in this game with a goal from Matteo Guendouzi and we did get the start we hoped for. Shortly after the break Manchester United mad it even after a goal from Anthony Martial. We then pushed on for a goal that was gonna put us in front but it never came. When all tought extratime would be needed Timo Werner stept up, twice, just before the end of the game he scored twice and we had won the titel. Europa League champions 2020, Arsenal.
