Having been really struggling to find a save that interests me long term I'm hoping this is finally the one as we look to overtake PSG and then takeover Europe as well.

About the Club

The club have fallen on hard times recently as over the last 6 years the club has fallen from Ligue 1 all the way down to the Championnat National. The club were bought over in 2020 by Chein Lee who also owns Barnsley FC, FC Thun, K.V Oostende, FC Den Bosch and FC Kaiserslautern so we need to make the most of these links for scouting and even trying to get some players in as well over the seasons.

The clubs most notable player in their history though is former French captain Michel Platini who came through the youth ranks and made 181 appearances for the club and scored 98 goals. The most notable manager in the clubs history was Arsene Wenger who started his managerial career at the club and spent 3 seasons there before heading to Monaco

The Squad

We have a really strong squad for this level and have some great players. Thomas Basila stands out as a key defender for us but sadly he is out injured for the next 8 months so we will be looking to cancel his deal to save on his wages but its a player we may look at next season if he's available. We also have former West Ham striker Diafra Sakho who even at 32 he should tear it up at this level and will be key in our attacking plans. We also have young midfielders Giovanni Haag, Baptiste Mouazanat and Neil El Aynoui at the club who we will look to develop and will be key for us going forward.

Board Vision

The board have one key expectation this season and its to gain automatic promotion which with this team we should expect nothing less for finishing in the top 2 this season

Supporter Profile

The fans expect the same as the board here and I feel as we go up we should be able to grow the clubs fan base quite significantly over the next few seasons.

Expectations

The only difference here is we have the cup included and the board don't expect anything fancy and just want us to be competitive in it this season so we can hopefully get through a few rounds.

Season 1

Transfers

Well the first piece of action of the window was to cancel the loan of Thomas Basilla to free up his wages and then it was time to start brining some young players in to help with the season.

Firsst in the door was Warren Zaire-Emery who even at only 16 will be a key player for us this season

Next player in the door is Joris Manquant on a free Transfer. He came through the Lyon Academy and with the right training could become a key player for us. We will look to integrate him into the first team by the end of the season

Finally I wanted a new defender in as well to cover for Basilla leaving so we bring in Isaak Toure on loan from Marseille for the season

The Start

Off to a winning start with a debut goal for Toure as he makes use of his 6'8 height to rise above everybody else from the corner to head home

Sakho opens his account with 2 well placed finishes to show he's still got it

We knew Sakho was going to be big for us as he gets another double

We got off to an early start but sadly we couldn't make it count as we drop our first points of the season

Sakho is tearing it apart here even if 2 go his goals did come from the penalty spot.

Thank goodness for the 2nd goal from Robinet or else we would of been in trouble here

Another solid game for us as we keep another clean sheet and Sakho is amongst the goals again

We're off to a great start and already have a 2 point lead at the top of the table and our goal difference is way ahead of everybody else as well

A much quieter month for us at the moment but I feel the French cup will be starting soon​

FC Borgo v AS Nancy

We got very lucky here thanks to the penalty and then holding on for the final 20 minutes with just 10 men.

ESC Longueau v AS Nancy

The start of the cup and it should have been a lot more comfortable for us but we got a bit of a late scare but thankfully our players responded and we get into the next round

Stade Briochin v AS Nancy

A very narrow game but Zaire-Emery gets his first goal for the club from just outside the area.

Reims Sainte Anne v AS Nancy

Another scare in the cup as we take our eye off the ball again but we do enough to keep progressing.

AS Nancy v US Avranches

A much better game here as we rotate in some younger players and Haag takes his chance with a well placed finish.

LB Chateauroux v AS Nancy

I'm a little disheartened by this result as we face the team favourite for top spot as we played really well in the first 75 minutes and then we let them back into the game and can only take a point.

AC Amiens v AS Nancy

Finally a performance to be proud of in the cup as we comfortably dispatch of AC Amiens to move into the 8th round

League

We have a 2 point lead at the top but more importantly a 7 point lead over 3rd spot

Thankfully a quieter month for us which means we can focus on every game​

AS Nancy v Paris 13 Atletico

An excellent first half display is enough to get the 3 points and continue our run in the league

US Concarneau v AS Nancy

Our first loss of the season as we couldn't get a foothold in the match and it cost us

AS Nancy v SO Cholet

We got very lucky here as Cholet hat 2 goals chopped off for offside so we're happy to walk away with the points here.

IC Croix v AS Nancy

We put a strong team out here to make sure we didn't slip up here and we did enough in the first half to let us rest a few players in the 2nd with us going through comfortably

US Orleans v AS Nancy

Cisse is on fire this month as he gets another 2 goals from the left wing as we also keep our 4th clean sheet in a row

League

We're starting to grow our lead at the top of the table now but still only hold a 7 point gap over 3rd
