An in-game advice states that when playing in wet weather we should be applying more direct approach in passing term, as wet wheather could punish those employing short passings...
Is it really count in the game?
I once played in home ground against a much weaker team (the odds are stacking immensely against them)...
The weather is very wet, but i still employ my usual tactic which uses short passes...
(It's an attacking 442 i grab from the Tactical-Theorem-and-Framework-thingy with only minor adjustments)
The result, i failed miserably... creating only few scoring chances with no result, while they totally dominated the game with lots of chances and scored a goal...
Dismayed with the result, i loaded the earlier savegame and tried the same match once more, this time i tweak almost all of my players' passing to more direct (but not too radical -- about 5-8 notches depending on position)...
The result, to my surprise, i failed more miserably... no scoring chance whatsoever (everytime i seem to building an attack, i lost the ball at some point later so i never really have any shot, even an off-target one)
My players played awkwardly...
In the end, i lost with a greater margin....
So, is wet weather really have a detrimental effect on teams playing short passing game? (FM2009 Game-wise)
If so, how should we tweak our tactic (if based on short passings) to deal with it?
Tried to tweak the players' passing style slider about 5-8 notch to more direct but also fail...
Or should we employ a brand new tactic especially for the weather? If so, how should it be?
I skim on the threads boasting winning tactics on this forum, but i met none that mention an alteration for a wet condition...
