I've just qualified for the Champions League through a league finish and need to improve some areas of my squad.

I need a DMC(s) or DLP(s) to replace Mehmet Topal, who doesn't want to come to me on a full time contract and a RB(s) to replace Hutton (who is awful) and I've got around £26m to get them in.

I do have Jean II Makoun coming back from his loan spell (they havent made a bid yet) so there is that option

Obviously HG players would be appriciated but I don't want to pay over the odds for British mediocracy obviously. Any suggestions would be much appriciated.

Thanks mate. I can't find Vass on my game for some reason but I'll definatly think about Jenssen.

Any one have an idea for RB? Its the position I'm most concerned with. Hutton was pretty average in the 29 games I played him in (6.83 Ave. Rating for the season) and I'm pretty sure I should be able to do better. Vrsjalko and Opare couldn't get work permits unfortunatly so they're out :'(

Rômulo (£9m), Cheick Tioté (£10.75m) and Steven Defour (£15m) are all inside my price range and while Defour seems a little defensivly frail to partner with N'Zonzi they all seem like they could work.

Also I messed up. RB isn't a massive Issue as I haven't got William coming in I've got Wallace who looks a little tasty:

As a Villa fan I tend to play quite a few Villa saves on network games and things like that. Verratti has been a class act for me in most saves so have a look at him. Also try Thiago on loan if you can. Usually some decent transfer listed players about, if not loans are always useful.

interesting stuff mate and good work getting villa in champs spot. I have just started a new game with villa and am using the same formation, only 3 games in but started ok have kept a few more villa players then yourself but i am now considering getting shot of hutton and maybe petrov?
