Atalanta

Hey everyone!

I decided it's time for somewhat of a new challenge ( I already did an Atalanta save until 2030 at the launch of FM 24) and I'd also like to post for the first time on this forum.

I'm pretty sure you're all familiar to the squad but I will present it anyway.

GOALKEEPERS

Rui Patricio- I don't have any plan of keeping him. He's valued at 9 million euros , I will try to sell him this summer window.
Francesco Rossi is my third choice keeper , I will probably not renew his contract and let him walk in the summer.
Cernasecchi will be perennial to my save. I hope I can keep hold of him for many years.

DEFENDERS

No plans of selling anyone , everyone will get his chance. At the beginning of the save I will try to play with a back 4 , but if my defence is leaky , I will switch to a back 5.
It looks very good on paper , with Scalvini and Ruggeri being so good and so young , and with the experience provided by Cuadrado , Toloi , Djimsiti and Kolasinac it should be more than enough for winning at least a trophy this year.


MIDFIELDERS

The midfield is alright , although I think we could use with some upgrades. We have the numbers , but I don't think we have the quality needed to challenge for the title. I will look to sign a midfieleder to elevate our starting lineup , although it might be quite a challenge since we have a budget below of 20 million.


ATTACKERS

I'm very happy with the number of attackers and also with their quality. I don't think I will sign someone to bolster the attack this season, unless Raspadori becomes available since I fancy him a lot.

I will come back with the results of August and with any transfer that happens this window.

I finished August and i'm pretty happy about it.

RESULTS

The results have been ok , dare I say good , since a defeat was expected against Real Madrid. , however I'm disappointed to be completely outclassed by them

TRANSFERS

The transfer window has ended and I'm not sure we've managed to bring the desired quality to be able to finish on the podium , hopefully we get some money and we can change that in the winter.

Our Champions League group is a tough one but I'm impatient about it. I really think we can go trough.

The month of September is a pretty easy one , with the exception of Arsenal. Maybe Fiorentina away will also be challenging but they're 15th and have failed to replicate their form from real life , so I'm pretty confindent going forward.

SEPTEMBER

This month was awful.
Our first match was against Lecce , who we've dominated and managed to beat quite comfortably. Then we drew away at Fiorentina , which I kinda expected. However I didn't expect us to be this bad
Arsenal battered us in the Champions League , but I was somewhat pleased with the performance , since the score isn't telling the full story of the match. We've managed to bounce back against Torino , but the next match we've started poorly against Bologna , falling 2-0 in the first 8 minutes , and after managing to to make it equal , a poor backwards pass by Brescianini in the last minute made it 3-2 for them. Against Genoa we we're on top and should've scored but couldn't find the net.


I've signed Keylor Navas on free for one season to be the back-up , will actively look to sell Rui Patricio in the winter , also would like to recall Gollini from his loan just to sell him.

Our October schedule is quite rough and the morale is low. If we manage to get a good result against Atletico at home ,maybe it will turn things around.
