*** THIS IS NOT INTENDED TO BE A PLUG'N'PLAY, M.E MUNCHING, SUPER TACTIC ***
This is my first attempt at creating, and posting a tactic.
Being the ********* I am, I chose the impossible.
My intention was to try and recreate Dunga's Brazilian formation, that pundits struggled to describe.
Some called if a 4-2-3-1 ... others called it a 4-4-2 Diamond ... but it wasn't your typical, symmetrical tactic that could be pigeon-holed.
Excellent article on it here: Analysing Brazil’s fluid system at close quarters
... and also here: The Question: How is Brazil's 4-2-3-1 different from a European 4-2-3-1? | Jonathan Wilson - The Guardian
So it could setup like a 4-4-2 Diamond

... or 3-3-3-1

After MANY, MANY attempts, hours, and tantrums, I finally have my team looking like this;

The above screenshots were all taken from the same game, within 3-5 minutes of each other, so it truly is a 'fluid' system.
To be 'true' to the Dunga tactic it needed;
oO)
It is still a work in progress, but its back has been broken, and for those looking to play the "Brazilian way", maybe you might enjoy this.
It's not perfect.
It's not a Match Engine destroyer.
It won't suit every team.
It was just an attempt to recreate a beautiful, fluid piece of tactical art.
Enjoy.
Dunga 2010
Next project ... the best team never to win the World Cup ... Santana's Brazil from 1982.

To be 'true' to the Dunga tactic it needed;
- 2 x Holding Midfielders.
- Diamond Midfield.
- 1 x Midfielder who both formed part of the Diamond, but also had a secondary role as a right wing.
- 1 x Holding Midfielder who formed part of the Diamond, but also had a secondary role as part of a back 3.
- To play a patient, counter attack style, but with enough 'Brazilian flair' to keep the fans entertained.
