Attracting better players?!!?

Finding it quite hard to get in the bigger players or even most average players!

Is there anyway apart from improving the clubs reputation by winning trophies to get players to even start contract negotiations? Does stuff like praising them in the press give them a better view of you and therefore more likely to wanna join? Any other possible ways?

Im Anzhi just starting 2nd season.

I think the biggest part of it is how successful your club has been (winning trophies) although there are couple of others that might help a bit.

One is that you can ask the board to improve your training facilities to increase reputation and attract better players.

If you have a specific player in mind then you could look at his favoured personnel and try to sign one of them. This might enourage them more but I'm not totally sure on that to be honest.

The only other thing I can think of is the reputation of the league you are playing in. If the naitonal team does well and a team from that league does well in a european competition that should increase the league's reputation and make better players want to play there.
