Auxerre Help!!

Ive started a new season with Auxerre in the second division of the french leagues.
I have made a ok start but could really do with some help in terms of tactics, really want to take Auxerre back where they deserve!!
I want to find the best formation possible, currently i am playing 5-2-3. I do have the players that aren't happy in their positions training in the correct roles.

The Mezzala and the Advanced Playmaker will both want to be operating in the same half-space, maybe switch the Mezzala and the CM(d) so that the Winger can keep width on the right and the Mezzala can exploit the half-space there.

I'd also think about the roles and duties of your back three rather than just plug them in whatever is considered their "best" role. Especially as they have reasonably high line due to the Control mentality, despite the "Slightly Deeper" team instruction.
