?Despite leading 2-1 after 60mins we got a man sent off and were clinging on towards the end. Nevermind, we are into the next round which was the minimum aim I set.?

?Qarabag, although from Azerbaijan, are a much superior team to us but we stormed into a 2 goal lead after 12 minutes. However we were pegged back in the 2nd​ half. Hopefully our 2 away goals can see us through.?

2nd​ Leg

?A silly tackle saw our RB sent off after only 15mins and we faced an uphill battle from there. Further injuries to our sub RB and CB meant we played out the last 30 mins with 9 players and it was over from there.?

All in all we got as far as I would honestly have expected in our first ever Champions League campaign. Though one wonders how we may have fared had we kept 11 players on the field in the 2nd​ leg against Qarabag.

We did however boost the bank balance by ?130,000 (it was -?7,000!) and we broke our attendance record (1759 turned out for the Tre Penne game). The money and experience has helped and hopefully we can attract a better quality of player in the weeks ahead and come back stronger next year.

A fairly good period considering we are still relative newcomers to the top flight. Struggling to really finish teams off but that is mainly down to most of my strikers having finishing stats of below 10! Hopefully as youth team players come through into the first team in the seasons to come we should see an improvement in this area.

*Note I haven?t got screens of the league table just yet as I?m playing a few months ahead of the updates. I get them up from next season. Lets just say we?re doing well in the League ;-)​

Hardly world beaters but they have at least 4.5 star potential which is a DRASTIC improvement on my current players!​
 
So it's youth only is it? Or am I confused by the title of the youth policy working? Anyway well done on the double.

A TRULY EPIC EUROPEAN ADVENTURE! We exceeded even my wildest expectations. Ultimately Basel proved far too strong for us in Switzerland but we can be very very proud. A place in the Europa League groups stages has come about 10 year earlier than I though!

If, like me, you ask who the **** are Pacy Football?? They are a French lower league team who somehow managed to make it to their cup final where they got beat 3-1 by Lyon.

Hopefully we can sneak some points off them but outside of that we have no chance of qualifying. This is all about experience and, more importantly, bringing money into the club which will be immediately invested in training and youth facilities.​
 
A brilliant run in trying to qualify for the CL! Managing to beat Basel at home, I reckon you'll surprise a few and maybe sneak second!
