Away Games .... Need Help

Im playing as Newcastle in my second season in the prem. I am doing ok ... about mid table coming up to the end of january. The problem is i cant seem to get any results away from home! .... are there any good tips of getting points away from home ...... i usually play with a standard or counter mentality.

Play more defensive and with counter attacks would be my first guess.
Also be more generous with your team talks (e.g. more "have faith" than "expect performance" etc)
