Home tactics are alright, just downloaded Lee's Lpool tactics cus i wanted to use 2 strikers..

Previously i was strongest away from home in the championship with tactics suitable for the following:

Long pitch with direct play
Congested pitch with 3 in the centre 2 wingers n 1 upfront
Wide pitch with emphasis on width on wingers

I use the same in the premiership now and get mixed results...beat chelsea 2-1 away yet struggle against normal teams.

What do people do for away games in the PL. Do they have set tactics depending on the pitch and then just adjust opposition intructions accordingly to the T/F manual?

Also i imagine i shudnt be losing alot of the games i do because I have a quality team ... cheated a bit at the start and gave my team enough cash to buy players i wanted (not to the extent spending 20 plus mill on a player but getting a few 10-15 mills in)

Will print screen of my away tactics if someone tells me how, so people can give suggestions for alterations.

The best way to judge which variant of a tactics set to use is looking at the match odds. If you're heavy favourites to win, then attack or control. If it's tight, standard. If you're told you'll lose, defensive. And then judge during the match whether or not you've got it right and change accordingly.

Does it matter how their pitch size is etc that much?

I know adapting to their pitch makes a difference...but to what extent.

Adapting for the pitch size will help out a bit. It's a slight difference but one which if you are willing to do, will in the long run pay dividends. This is especially so in 'tight' games.

i put a defensive midfielder just in front of the back line.Arrow pointing toward the central defenders so he provides cover.
This defensive midfielder has very high creativity, passing and pace.He can pass from back to front quickly for a swift counter attack.
Central midfielder in front of him also has pace, high tackling and creativity.
Left midfielder has arrows pointing forwards as does the the right.High crossing and again pacy.
tall striker and fast striker.Or one striker and an attacking player like bojan.Just in front of the midfield.
I do this away in the champions league and against the very top teams in the league.Once the team get use to it i have sneaked a lot of 0-1 in my favor.
but if you havnt got the quality players on the park you'll be inviting trouble and could be exposed.
good luck.

Brilliant idea will come in handy for my Huddersfield Town team if I get promoted
