Diego Maradona Sacked....Finally!
Diego Maradona has been saced as the coach of the Argentine National Football team after a series of poor performances which saw the the National Team slip to 4th in th South American WC Qualifiers and in danger of missing the plane to South Africa.
The Argentina Football Association since has decided to take action in the best interests of the National Football Team.Speculation has already started mounting on who will now manage Argentina with the likes of Roberto Mancini and Jose Mourinho thought to be in contention for the hot seat.

The Argentina Football Associatian has named Roberto Ayala as their new manager.Roberto Ayala who is currently the second highest-capped player in Argentina's History with 115 caps and 7 goals.He played for the National Team between 1994-2007.
Many fans are outraged at this decision as Roberto Ayala has no prior managing experience and many expect him too flop just like Maradona did.Argentina who are currently lying 4th in the South American WC Qualifiers are hoping to secure Qualification under the guidance of Roberto Ayala.

Argentina go into their first match under the guidance of Roberto Ayala against strong opponents Russia in a match which promises attacking and beautiful football.One problem Argentina face are the numerous injury problems with Captian Javier Mascherano,Gabreil Milito and young winger Sebastian Blanco set to miss the match through injury although good news comes in the form of Lionel Messi successfully shrugging off a recent injury.

Russia caused a major upset witha 1-0 win over Argentina with a superb goal from Danger man Andrey Arshavin after a fantastic build-up play.The game was also highlighted by the numerous tactical mistakes made by Roberto Ayala.Argentina who looked toothless in attack despite boasting fantastic players struggled throughout the game.
Juan Sebastian Veron who was expected to provide the creative spark in Midfield and supply the attacking players did his job miserable and was often outnumbered as soon as he got the ball.Roberto Ayala also failed to find a way to keep Andrey Arshavin quiet and the Russian Captian often found himself in acres of space which he most of the time successfully managed to exploit.
