Do backgrounds work for you? (if yes, please tell us what you did!)

Please can someone help me with the backgrounds?

I extract them using winrar to...

sports interactive-football manager 2010-graphics-backgrounds.

What am i doing wrong?

Please help me!

if you go onto your ingame prefences and onto display and sound you will need to tick the box saying enable background pictures or something like that.
Also try putting them just into football manager 2010/graphics/pictures as thats where mine is

Have you deleted the configs that you don't need. like just keep normal folder or wide-screen depend of your screen resolution and delete the rest of the folders.
 
I downloaded the english and scottish stadium packs. I only have 2 packs and a config 4 each file

I have tried other files but they do not work
 
I don´t think it´s the background pics that need to be enabled. If i remember correctly the box you need to tick is "always reload skin on confirm" also to be found under display & sound. Also i believe it is required to untick the "use skin cache" box. I haven´t been using custom skins since 09 version so i´m not entirely sure.

upload a screen shot of the display & sound part of your prefences
 
Follow this guide closely and if they don't work after that then it must be a config clash.

The guide hasn't been updated recently so when the time comes follow the facepack step and add tick show backgrounds to the final step.

If you've followed the guide and it aint working, it aint ever gonna work I'm afraid.

Argh, just tried backgrounds for fm07 and it works! SOO ANNOYING

i have deleted all backgrounds, apart from one and it still does not work. it is not to do with the configs.

I am redownloading FM10. Please work!
 
I have reinstalled it almost a dozen(12) times and it STILL doesn't work! :(
