Manchester United's Jonny Evans insists the "poor tackle" which put Bolton's Stuart Holden out for six months was not malicious.

I don't think anyone ever goes out to delibrately hurt someone , it was just mistimed IMO.
 
It was a 50/50 tackle. They both went in studs up, but Holden come off worse. Also, when he found out he'd be out for 6 months Evans phoned him up to say sorry, which was good of him not many player do that.

He didn't mean to hurt him, Evans isn't that type of players.
 
Yes, BBC, we've established this. Ferguson has said it, Holden has said it, Evans has said, everyone has said it.

The media are so useless at actually reporting news nowadays that all they report is conflict, and when there is none they report on there being no conflict anyway.
