hello fellows

I play with besiktas but I am struggling to get enought chances. despite the ball possession is high - the number of chances are almost equal with the opponent. no matter how strong or weak is the opponent.

Tactic settings are: control, fluid, low tempo, narrow width, dl: one click before high, time wasting one click before often. short passing.

formation: 4-2-3-1. Gk, 2 fb, 2 cds (cover, stopper) 2 mc (ballwinning and deeplying playmaker) amc (attacking player) 2 wingers and st (advanced forward)

only two of the eleven players passing setting are mix.

I finished my first season and the second place, but was very inconsistent with the results.

what should I do?

thx

look at you setting i'm guessing its becuase you are not playing any penetrating passes

Creativity and Pass range are very important. A quality playmaker is also good. Slow Tempo can also be the cause especially if passing set to short and less creative.

The main problem might be that your defence is passing the ball among themselves or to the less creative midfielder. In your formation fullbacks are very important as they are going to link defense and midfield.

Turn time wasting down

+1.

Again +1.

When you have time-wasting so high, all your players want to do is keep possession and bide away time till the match ends. See, the players will do what you tell them to do. Say you are playing a 2 legged tie. You won 3-2 at Home and want to just keep possession Away, then if you tell them to waste time, your players will try to keep it 0-0 throughout the match. But they will do the exact same thing in the league or other matches too- they don't "know" that it's a match you need to win. So your tactics has to tell them that. Turn down time-wasting for sure.

As for the final ball, change the crossing from float to drill or vice versa, tell more of your midfielders to play through balls often, if your striker roams from position, set him to not do that so that there is always someone in the penalty box and also try more long shots...

You could try changing to a more direct passing game (upfront) to get the final ball dealt with

or

try changing the two wingers to deep lying forwards (support or attack both work well) They still play as wingers just much more advanced, you may need to adjust their advanced settings to get it how you like though

thx for the advices. the main problem still exists. I have a lot of ball possession but I cant really dominate the opponent , altough I turned down the time wasting to the middle.

to create clear cut chances - isnt right do play slow and short passing with often time wasting? otherwise I havent got qualtiy chances.

Is it a good Idea to increase the long shots?

Well that's the Barcelona way of boring the opposition to death. :P Joking. ;)

Anyway, that won't work till your entire team gets the chemistry to read each other. Don't start with even "sometimes" time wasting against weaker or similar teams. Start with Rarely or the slightest "Sometimes" and once you get a goal or two, increase it... Plus, focus on Team Blend and even more on Attacking Movement in Match Preparation.

Long Shots will get you at least shots on goal and cause the goalkeeper some trouble for starters. Check your player' long shot attribute and set the good ones to long shots. Who knows if the keeper will fumble and an onrushing striker will put in the rebound or it hits the post and falls kindly for someone...

If your not good at making goal op. buy better playmaker and his passing set on direct! If you can score, well, try to buy rooney or aguero :P
